After trying a few types this was by far the less complicated and sturdy. It would be nice if it came with some connectors - luckily I bought a pack from Hosepipe and a good anti kink hose from Karcher. We will add some more hooks brackets ( it only came with two) as we want to lift it off and walk around with it. ( You need another connector hose for that. Its no fuss and good price. 5 year warranty.

This is an amazingly well made piece of kit. Bought to replace a crappy plastic Hozelock reel that lasted a few days before bursting open. (a complete waste of money). It's twice the price but ten times better than the plastic ones. I can't believe that we can still buy such nice kit in this disposable world! This thing works almost by itself. It holds a full 30m of quality hoze with space for more. It winds and unwinds effortlessly and hangs on the wall out of the way when you don't need it. Because it can be placed on the ground as well, it is easy to face it in the correct direction for winding and unwinding the hose. OK, the pressed steel wall brackets are obviously bought in and are not quite up to the standard of the actual reel but brackets can be replaced if they ever rust out. Meanwhile, this thing will probably last forever it is so well made.

Great build wuality, I have to be honest. It's smooth when reeling on the hose and it works just as one hose reel should work. However... You need to be careful what hose you're putting on. Inner quick connect fitting and the opening for it could be small for any 'odd' hose you might have. I have flexzilla 5/8" hose with it's own quick release and I was unable to connect it as the non-kink/bend part extends longer than the opening is. If you have any regular 1/2" hose it should work just as fine as it worked for me.

I was reluctant to pay the seemingly high price for this item but having taken the plunge was pleasantly surprised. Some very minor assembly required by means of screwing the handle on, but otherwise ready to go. This is a pretty simple item by design but uses decent thickness of stainless steel and aluminium frame. Feels very sturdy and should not tarnish over time. Well worth the extra money versus the typical plastic ones. This feels like it will last a long time. It has an almost homemade quality about it given the sturdy build. Rarely can you buy items like this nowadays. Nowhere on the item, packaging or listing could I find information about country of origin. Any time in my experience this information cannot be found, it means made in China. I assume that is the case here unfortunately. I wound up a 25m Gardena SuperFlex 13mm hose and it could obviously take more than this, winds very easily.

These are brilliant! Got fed up of replacing plastic ones every few years. Bought one for the back of the house - so solid and strong and well made AND looks good so a week later we bought one for the front hose too! How nice to have your hose on something that can also be considered attractive!!! Hoping they last may years to come! It holds a lot of hose too - ours is about 25 metres and it’s not completely full! So easy to use - pull the hair to unwind and wind the handle to pull it all back on!

Well made item. Delivery turned into a joke but it did finally arive.

This is not the high quality item it purports to be. You can buy exactly the same thing from a number of Chinese manufacturers here on Amazon. It leaks from the rotating nut joint and the metal is thin and the structure wobbles. The included mounting is not sufficient. I think this is overpriced and recommend you spend your money on something better.

I just received the metal hose reel and to my surprise it was much nicer than I expected for the price. The reel is real metal, packaged up very nice and the quality is superb. Super amazing product. Worth every penny.

Een soortgelijke haspel (dezelfde?) is te vinden voor het dubbele van deze prijs. Maakt een zeer degelijke indruk, hopelijk gaat hij lang mee. De wandbevestiging maakt een niet al te stevige indruk maar blijkt toch prima te werken.

We received this product and it was missing pieces. We tried to return the item but when we took it to the UPS store found that it was gonna cost anywhere from $100-$300 to return the item so now we’re stuck with a product that we cannot use due to poor quality from the seller

Jeder der einen Schlauch benutzt, hat sicher jede Menge davon. Irgendwie werden einem immer wieder welche geschenkt, meist sind sie von minderer Qualität, und hierzu zähle ich auch den "Classic" mit dem orangefarbenen Streifen der sich auch bei bestem Willen nicht ordentlich über einen Bügel legen läßt. Zusätzlich wird man noch mit Schlauchwagen aus Rohrgestänge und schnell ausbleichendem Plastik beglückt. So ein Ding fest an einer Wand zu montieren ist nicht unbedingt schwierig. Meinen habe ich weiterverschenkt da er montiert nur für Linkshänder geeignet war. Es musste also eine Schlauchtrommel zur Wandmontage her. Die Günstigste ohne Schlauch (was schon eine Ausnahme ist) gibt es für knapp 40 € in Kunststoff und vermittelte mir gleich den Eindruck nicht lange Freude daran zu haben. Auch im Netz Erhältliche in verzinkter Ausführung lassen gleich vor dem geistigen Auge verrostete Ecken und Kanten erscheinen. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn, die Edelstahltrommel von Flopro ist durch Material, einfache (schrauberfreundliche) Konstruktion und Design das Beste was ich zu diesem angemessenen Preis gefunden habe. Die mitgelieferten Alu-Schräubchen zur Wandmontage sind natürlich lächerlich und diesem Produkt unwürdig, aber bei jedem Baumarktbesuch leicht zu ersetzen. Schön wäre auch für den Schlauchanschluß eine zusätzliche abgewinkelte Variante oder ein entsprechender Adapter. Es schadet auch nicht, seitens der Konstrukteure über einen klappbaren Kurbelgriff nachzudenken. Kurzum, ein tolles Produkt bei dem ich sicher bin es jahrelang mit Freude nutzen und guten Gewissens wohlmöglich einmal vererben zu können und das bereits neidvolle Blicke aus der Nachbarschaft auf sich gezogen hat.
