Is this same as soy sauce? What 's the difference between Tamari sauce and soy sauce?

I've read tamari is traditionally a uniquely Japanese product originally produced as a byproduct of miso paste. It is supposed to be somewhat more balanced and have a somewhat richer, less salty flavour. It is also much easier to find gluten-free tamari soy sauce than gluten-free soy sauce, though it needs to be labelled as such; not all tamari is gluten-free. That's what I've read; I'm buying it for the first time myself.

This isn’t really for 6 half gallon containers is it? That’s a typo right?

I am not sure what the description said when I ordered it but it is almost one 1/2 gallon. Not 6 half gallons.

No, soy sauce has more of a salty like than sweet flavor. It's a savory flavor, to me it almost tastes beefy. That might just be my taste buds though. It's very tasty. I use it on a lot of things especially rice.

Kikkoman's website says this is non-gmo. does it say it on the bottle? the picture on amazon doesn't show it.

Great tasting gluten free soy sauce

Boxing needs to be more careful

This was a liquid product that leaked slightly into the box. The plastic bottle is intact but the outer box is a little soggy. The product is perfectly useable however.
