Struggling to make the the weld joints. Seems that the unit won't heat the staples anymore.

When I first got mine I had to take it apart and tighten the wires inside before mine would even heat from new.

why does this shut off after 30 seconds and wont go back on until it cools ?

I have used this tool several times,(following the instructions) I have never had to hold the trigger longer than 12-15 seconds for the formed wire to imbed I the plastic panel.
