Fox USMC Knives 9CM04BT Exteme Tactical Kukri Bronze

Fantastic kukri. Capable and beautiful. Smaller than many others, but built like a tank. Since the blade had multiple grinds and angles it isn’t the easiest thing to sharpen, but those same features make it a highly adaptable tool, plus this type of steel is very good at taking and holding an edge so you won’t need to sharpen as frequently anyway.I feel the sheath is getting bad reviews, but it should be the opposite... I work with kydex and leather, so I wasn’t concerned with the poor reviews of the sheath at first. However, when it arrived I found it too was actually very well designed. Maybe a bit much for everyday use, but you don’t have to use it that way. I’ll explain. The sheath is actually 5 different pieces, and they are all removable depending on your needs... 2 leg straps, a detachable belt loop, a secondary handle strap, and the main sheath. When everything is used it is a very secure setup. The leg straps are adjustable and have rubber strips running down 1 side, and the handle snap makes sure you would never jam yourself in the side in a tactical situation. But for everyday use, this is just a bit much, so you can remove the leg straps and handle snap so it becomes a regular sheath. The belt loop design is also great. The loop itself can go on or off without removing your belt, and since there’s a clip, you can remove the sheath from the loop without having to remove the belt loop itself, which is super convenient. The last thing I’d like to say about the sheath is that the inner design is also great. There are what seem to be rubber strips running the length of the sheath where the blade runs down. This keeps the blade from cutting the sheath while also taking any play whatsoever out of kukri for a quiet, secure carry.My only issues with the setup, and the reason it’s 4 stars, is that it should definitely come with a lanyard, and I would have liked the handle to be just a little bigger. But overall one of the best Kukris I’ve ever used.
