These headlight cleaner wipes worked far better than I thought they would. I have used many a headlight cleaner and restorer, but this kit was the easiest to use with very good results. No need for power tools or even different sanding disks. Just two different types of wipes, super easy. We will see how long the lights stay clear for, but if I had to do it once a year it would be worth it! Four stars because the lights came out clear, but not crystal clear, but to be fair that may just be the condition of my headlights. Try this least expensive, easy fix first. It many very well be just what you need.

Not for Heavy Oxidation. My headlight lenses were badly oxidized. I bought 2 kits so I would have extra cleaning pads. I used them all and although the instructions say to rub for at least 3 minutes, I wiped enough to make Mr. Miyagi proud - for over 30 minutes. At some point there was no more discoloration coming off on the pads so I think they clean the surface, but not deep enough for the tough jobs. OK, I guess for mildly oxidized lenses, but a lot of physical labor.

This product does not provide enough wipes to remove more than the minimum amount of oxidation. The headlights were starting to yellow, so the oxidation was not severe. We followed the directions on the box to the letter and after using the wipes as directed were left with a sticky residue (which was left-over oxidation that the drying wipes could not remove). I am forced to purchase another box of the product in order to complete the job. I can't drive my car around with the tape protecting the body of the car on it, plus this is Florida so there would be bugs stuck in the tape and the sticky residue. A terrible product. Plus when I called them they said they would send me an email so I can tell them what the problem is and they would give it to their "research" staff to handle. I'm doing that and perhaps they will reimburse me for the second box I will have to get overnighted in order to finish the job.

These wipes work. Super easy to use and you can see results right away.

Cloudy headlights are bad, not only for aesthetics but for safety. Instead of throwing light directly ahead to illuminate the road, oxidized lenses diffract the light, giving the cover that "old car glow." Such was my '99 Buick. I had watched involved DIY videos and even owned a restoration kit (the kind with a drill extension pad and rubbing compound), but didn't want anything so involved (or where I might accidentally damage the surrounding paint). So, I purchased *this* product thinking it was a multipack of those petroleum-based wipes one might find at a car store which *temporarily* fill tiny pits and scratches to make headlights *appear* clear. But NOPE -- this is the REAL THING. And it was easy-peasy. The kit comes with several prep pads and two finishing pads (each in a sealed packet). It also comes with what look like Nitrile gloves. The instructions say to vigorously wipe the headlights with a prep pad (using a small portion of the pad at a time), turning it and repeating until the pad no longer gets discolored. That didn't make sense to me but I went ahead. And I was dubious as the wiping seemed to initially remove oxidation only to leave the lenses more dull. Nevertheless, I kept on until the prep pad (it took two) no longer discolored. I'll admit I was not happy with the result -- even after trying to clean any "residue" they were still "cloudy". However, when I took the finishing pad and, as instructed, gently wiped from side to side on the "deoxidized" lenses -- IT WAS MAGIC! What was previously opaque became instantly transparent. I was gobsmacked at how fabulous my headlights look and how it's lasted. I'll admit the prep was a bit of work, but I'd rather use a little "elbow grease" than to risk a drill careening across the paint. It is important to note that the finishing pad purports to be a sealant with UV protection -- so I have high hopes of it lasting a long time.
