Classic silver line.. actual used review
Purchased this silver line grinder along with silver lines concrete and stone disc to cut some paving slabs.Overall I am very happy with its performance, I've only ever used smaller cordless grinders before and never really liked the experience. With disc's jamming up mid cut and the grinders pulling, but this didn't give me any of that it just kept on going no matter how much pressure you apply to a cut. With the disc I did 13 45cm at 35mm thick and 2 60cm cuts at 45mm thick and the disk still has life left in it.The grinder felt really heavy but is actually very comfortable to use and stable while cutting. It has a nice quick release safety guard, which is solid but not obstructively chunky. It has three screw mounting points for the big standard handle. I really like the trigger grip/handle as it completely twists so the handle is in the correct position wether your cutting vertically or horizontally.Only two negatives and one of them is more on the sellers side and that is that it was shipped in its retail box which has no packing in it to protect it and it wasn't even taped up. The other and it's only a small one is the trigger, it has a safety lock that you have to engage before you can press it in which is good but I also think it has another safety feature on it that makes the trigger unresponsive. When I release it to stop some times it won't let me restart it till it's come to a complete stop and had a few seconds and other times I can ease off and start it up before it stops. I just find it time wasting as it takes a while for the blade to stop, and not the best safety feature as I'm left unsure when it's actually gonna start. I'm sure I will work out why and when the more I use.So to summarize, really happy and glad I went for a 230mm grinder as it actually felt much safe and has got me over my dislike of grinders. Great value as always with silver line. A few nice features, is it the best out there, no but for the money and the domestic uses I will use it for it will last me a fair few years.

Complete waste of money.
Worked for 5 mins then played up leaving me with mixed up concrete and no cut slabs to lay. Only used for the 1st time after 30 days so in order to get it replaced I’d have to pay the big expense of posting (it’s heavy) and waiting weeks. There lies the issue of buying tools online, it’s just not worth the minimal saving. So I threw it in the bin and bought a better one from a well known shop down the road. At least if this has issues I’ve only got to drive 5 mins to get it replaced. Complete waste of money and would definitely not recommend silverline from my 1st experience. Silverline had some spiel too about only being in warrantee for 30 days if the product wasn’t registered, complete nonsense as you get 12 months legally and item has to be fit for purpose, just shows how much they want your information these days to bombard you with adverts etc. Just go to a shop/store & buy your tools.

A decent tool at a reasonable price
My ageing 9" angle grinder finally passed away, and I needed a quick replacement. Amazon Prime time!I already have a number of Silverline tools, so it wasn't hard to find a replacement angle grinder at a great price.I could have bought different brands, and paid more, but the Silverstone does everything that more expensive brands do so why would I? After all, it's not a tool I'm going to use every day, or every month for that matter, so I'm expecting to be using it until I'm old(er) and grey(er)!

Worked once
Felt quite sturdy, comfortable to use and certainly did a good job cutting the concrete slabs but was completely dead the second time I went to use it. Sadly on its way back.

Great tool at a great price
Cuts 2” concrete slabs as if it was cutting butter. Why pay a fortune when you can get this one. Love the rotating handle too
