Crosley CR92 Country Wall Phone - LOVE IT!
We recently renovated our breezeway, which leads into our kitchen. When doing the wall that leads into the kitchen, my husband cut the hole for our telephone mount and then hung the portable phone unit on the wall. It took us about 2 weeks to regret putting the hole in the tongue & grove board to have a portable phone sitting on the wall. My husband started looking for something to cover the hole in the wall and found the country wall phone. We both loved the look of it and knew it would go perfectly on that new wall. Not only does the phone look great, but it works great, too. I am always saying I wish things could go back to the way they were, and now I have a little bit of that in our home. No complaints about this phone. We love it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
I have a victorian home with oak cabinets in the kitchen area. This phone not only looks great, it works well too. It has great reception. I can actually hear what people are saying on the other end of the line. There's room to put a pad and pencil for messages and also a small drawer, which I haven't used yet. Imagine having a drawer that is empty for a short span of time!!! The only thing I miss is caller id; however, I have another phone on the extension for that. Highly recommend the phone for visual ambiance. Solidly built.

Love it!
Love this phone! Works great, no problems, hangs easily on a standard wall jack mount, even with the internet filter on the wall jack. It looks awesome in my 1881 kitchen. It won't get a lot of use, we have a cordless that we use and we don't use the landline much anymore, which I think is good because the handset on the phone is a little lightweight and not very heavy duty. But I love the phone!

FANTASTIC Conversation Piece for our Kitchen
This phone is worth every penny as far as looks go. It is gorgeous! Everyone comments on it when they see it. It works perfectly months after we purchased it. The only reason I took away one star is because the "ring" is not fitting for the phone itself. It sounds like an electronic phone that belongs in an office cubicle from the 1980's. The sound doesn't fit the look at all. I REALLY wish the company would have gone the extra mile and set a ring that sounds old-fashioned to complete the whole theme. But that is a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things. Very nice!

Great but...
Love the look of this telephone, it came brand new in its original box inside the amazon box, very well protected, tasted it and works wonderful. And I also was surprised how soon it arrives home, since this product was shipped to outside the states. I am more than happy with the phone and overall experience.**EDIT**After some time of use, when people call, they can't hear me, the speaker area on the hand seems to be damaged. I haven't misused it in any way, I always take good care of my stuff. Its really sad because its such a nice phone, and now its just a decoration piece, had to buy a regular phone instead.

Phone will not hang up
Similar to another reviewer earlier this year, my phone will not hang up. As soon as the phone is plugged in, a dial tone is present, which is of course good. However, placing the phone on the hook does not disconnect it from the line. Even if the phone is plugged in with the receiver on the hook, it still does not disconnect. Same behavior if the speaker phone is used. The end result of this is that no phone in the house will work as it causes the phone line to behave as if there was a phone off the hook (which there is not!). This started occurring after a few days of use. Unfortunately, I purchased the item in July, and did not install it until September (we were saving it for a new house we were moving into). Had I tried it right away, I would have likely discovered the problem and have been able to return it. I will not buy another one - very disappointed. As this is the second time this has happened to two separate people, buyers should be very cautious with this as it seems to be a recurring problem on multiple phones. I suppose Amazon could have re-sold the faulty phone from the earlier reviewer (May 2009) to me (in July 2009) - I would hope that was not the case, though.

Vintage wall phone gift
I was looking at the old country wall phones on line at my son's house and pointed out the ones I liked best. He said THIS one was the one HE would like to have. I got such a great deal from Amazon when I went to purchase it without him knowing. We spent Christmas at his home, with the family, and when he opened it he said to his wife "Wow, this is just what we wanted". He dropped everything and ran for his tools and installed the phone immediately. They like every feature including the ringtone. They commented 'Look. Now we have completed our country kitchen". I was really happy that they enjoyed it so much.An amusing side note: my grandson looked at the phone on the wall and a puzzled look came over his face as he stared. Then he blurted out. "Uh, it has a CORD on it!!" I had to laugh. Kids today don't really have to deal with being "tied" to the phone. His father explained it had a speaker phone app so he liked it then. Very pleased with the packing and the timely arrival of an excellent product.

Good looks -- can't say the same for quality of build
I have to add my experience to that of many others here who got this and found that it wasn't fully functional. In my case, the ringer didn't work, nor did the built-in speaker for the 'speaker mode.' The bells on the top are for decoration only. The ringer, I can only assume, comes from the built-in speaker. I also assumed, however, that if the ringer is electronic, it probably would be annoying anyway, so I did not return mine. It still looks good on the wall, and everything else works. We use cordless phones 99 percent of the time around our house anyway, so this is only used for decoration and the occasional call when we're too lazy to find the cordless phones or when the batteries in our cordless phones are dead.
