Came in as ordered and it was a simple "Plug and play". The quality of the device is sturdy and of high quality. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a Splitter Adapter Cable. I have this plugged in my work office at home and have two Ethernet cables running to my work station and to my personal laptop. Both getting the speed that I'm paying for. Price is right and a fantastic quality build.

I get that this is only a simple splitter, so you cannot have 2 active internet connections.I had hoped to plug the splitter into my wall plate, and plug two Cat-5 cables into the connector.1 cable would be for watching Nextflix while in bed, the other for doing homework while at my desk.I only had one laptop, but was hoping to plug one or the other cables into the laptop.The problem was if there were 2 cables into the splitter, it would kill the connection. You had to physically remove one cable from the splitter to use the other one. This totally defeats the purpose of having 2 splitters. I might as well just swap the cables as needed into my wall connection.

Despite using shielded RJ45 jacks, the shields are not connected to a drain wire so it would not work for our application. We checked it with a multimeter. Not sure why have the extra expense of shielded connectors then not connect them to anything. Sure, it will cost a little extra for CAT6A wire for the extra drain lead, but they already paid for the shielded connectors so why not. To be fair, they did not advertise this as being CAT6A, and it should work for its intended, but questionable purpose.

I realize this is not a big ticket item but I would have expected this to last more than 60 days. This splitter worked fine and then quit working. Neither device was receiving an ethernet signal. I have plugged each device in separately and they work just fine, but when either are plugged into this splitter there is no internet signal received.I guess you get what you pay for and in this case I should have known better.

Needed to have something to split coming off the modem in case needed to run a hard wire without disconnecting everything to router. Did what I needed for it to do. Great product.

If you need to split your signal from your router, this device helps. Use only when you run out of ports....

Good to attach two wired network devices to a single Ethernet circuit, but one at each end required. Doesn't support POE circuits. Ideally, use to connect two switch or router ports to a single in-wall circuit, and then out at the other end to two devices...BUT...the wall circuit must be wired completely Ethernet A or -B, with all 4 pairs punched down correctly. Some lazy installers (I've seen) only punch 1,2,3, and 6 which is all Ethernet actually uses. These splitter require signals on all 4 pairs.
