Perfect
I have been playing piano for eight years and have even taken it up at school. I, of course, wanted a real grand piano but it wouldn’t fit my budget or my apartment. I love Kawai pianos and was very interested in the KDP 110 but couldn’t find very many reviews. Hopefully this helpsAction: The KDP has fully weighted, gr. keys that simulate a genuine acoustic action very well. The action has soft, standard, and hard settings to adjust how heavy they keys are. The action is also very true to piano sound in that it doesn’t produce any loud banging when a key is pressed.Features: The 15 voices are all great, but more impressive are the modifications used to change the sounds of the pianos. You can manually change the brilliance, or resonances in addition to the overall tone.Pedal: The pedals are all funtional and weighted like a grand. It was actually a bit of an adjustment to have such resistant pedal system.Bench: The bench is seperate from the piano, in that it is made with metal. At first I was surprised but I am now very happy! Having metal legs reduces the risk of leg breakage or damage over time. The cushion is also very comfortable.Speakers: I debated whether or now I would add a woofer to increase the bass sounds on this instrument— not necessary. The 40w speakers have no problem demanding attention and also have great detail in their ability to recreate string sounds. I was genuinely surpised.Wood: The piano body is very strong and stable. I was glad to see the back board was more significant than a piece of cardboard. The finish is also a gorgeous, dark, almost black, rosewood.Display: I wanted a piano that would look as close to acoustic as possible. This piano has no digital screen, no console, just a few buttons off to either side of the keys. This is exactly what I wanted.Music rest: The rest is stable and hilds the pages well. Sure, I wish it were bigger and spanned the width of the whole piano, but nothing at this price offers that.Comparison: I have played on many Casio Privias and Yamaha YDPs and also debated purchasing one of these. They are both around the same price and offer similar features. However, I am glad I bought the Kawai. The action is more realistic than the Yamaha, and quieter than the Privia. The sound is also more realistic than I believe either of the others to be.Assembly: The assembly is relatively easy. The keyboard posseses most of the weight of the instrument so you may need help puting it in place when the times comes. The piano is heavy, do not try to move it alone.Overall I am so immensly pleased with this purchase I am almost moved to tears. Everything outmatched my already high expectations. Many people say these instruments are affordable, but to a normal working person $1000+ is an investment. Because of the price I expected more than an entry level keyboard. Instead the KDP is a fantastic instrument, which beautifully recreates the touch, sound, and feel of a real piano. I am so surpised there aren’t more reviews out there. This instrument is best in its class.

Great instrument!
After researching many different digital pianos, I decided to purchase the Kawai KDP 110. It was a reasonable price, the features were great, it looked very nice and best of all sounds fantastic. The day after I placed my order, Alamo Music contacted me and informed me this model was not in stock but ask if I would consider the newer model KDP 120 at no extra cost to me. After a little more research on the difference between the 2, I informed them that I would accept the newer model. Yes, I am absolutely happy with this digital piano! I believe I would have been happy with the 110 also. It is a high quality instrument. The sound is marvelous and I am throughly enjoying it. I have an acoustic piano but wanted more variety of sounds. The stand was very easy to assembled. It does take 2 people to lift the keyboard into place, it is heavy. When put all together it is very sturdy, no wobbling or moving at all. The only con I have about it is the music stand could be a little longer but I can live with it as is. I do reccomend this digital piano!

Great hammer-action keyboard, very good sounds, onboard speakers could be better
The quality of the keyboard action is first-rate, light and very fast. The sampled piano sounds are very good, although there is a slight digital sandpaper over everything (what else is new). Adjustments can be made to the pianos Including damper resonance, reverb, brilliance, and touch sensitivity. The board does not remember your settings after being turned off, which is inconvenient. The other built-in sounds are synthesized, and fine for what they are, but it's all about the pianos.Sound quality is excellent through headphones. Adjustments may be made for the type of headphone, and also for a spatial enhancement feature. I prefer the enhancement off for a more natural sound. Now for the bad news: The built-in speakers are pretty awful. The sound emerges from the underside toward the rear, and there's not much of it left when it gets to the player's ears. A muddled mess of mostly midrange. But audiophiles need not panic! Just take an output from one of the headphone jacks (there are two) and run it to a stereo amp driving some decent speakers. I'm using a hybrid tube amp driving a pair of KRK6 monitors and it sounds fantastic. Update: Added a Theater Solutions down-firing subwoofer. The lowest octave rocks!Bottom line: The keyboard alone is worth the price. The piano sounds are refined and highly adjustable, even though the user interface and functions are minimal. Listened to through headphones, or through quality speakers, the sound is very, very good. It has one flaw, those onboard speakers, but work around them and get it anyway! It's a quality instrument, and a blast to play. Nothing near it at this price.

Amazing Digital Piano at a Great Price
Being a pianist for nearly half a century, I'm picky when it comes to keyboards. Kawaii is a name that's synonymous with quality, and this digital piano is no exception. Excellent, realistic piano sounds combined with great action and smooth looking finish. Very easy to assemble as well.

Best DP in it's price point, by a LOT
This is an excellent digital piano. The action allows for great expression and has no problems at all with any repertoire that I've played. The keys have triple sensors, so even fast repetition sounds great. The sound is AMAZING! It's clear, not muddied in any way, and very much reminds me of the Novus NV10's sound engine. It's clear as a bell. The headphone's spatial sound is great, as well. Bluetooth is a very nice addition, which isn't even included on my 2 year old Clavinova. I'm glad to see Bluetooth incorporated on an entry-level DP. Overall, this was a great choice for me as my upstairs practice instrument. Definitely the nicest DP around this price or higher.
