the warmth level of this sleeping bag held my girlfriend's happiness and, therefore
I bought this sleeping bag for a December camping trip for my girlfriend and I. It was to be my first under-the-stars camping trip and a surprise trip for my girlfriend. As such, the warmth level of this sleeping bag held my girlfriend's happiness and, therefore, my prospective future happiness in it's hands. While I'm an inexperienced outdoorsman, I am an experienced online shopper. As such, I recognize and value the collective opinions of my fellow cohorts.Albeit in a torn and tantered box, the sleeping bag arrived as promised. The storage bag is large enough to repackage the bag after use and stores it effectively.Upon a very late arrival at the camping site, I quickly setup the padding and sleeping bag in the back of my pickup truck. My girlfriend, who was not actually speaking with me yet, was in the truck putting on every pair of pants and shirt she brought. She was not nearly as happy about our mid-December surprise camping trip as I was. She silently exited the truck and maneuvered herself through the paltry 23*F temperature and into the sleepbag with ninja-like quietness. This is when the extra size of the sleeping bag became apparent to me -- there is DEFINITELY room for two people...and a 55 lb dog between us.With the superior timing of a stereo-typical male, I enlightened my girlfriend on the sleeping bag's best features. Specifically, the zippers on each side of the sleeping bag could be opened when she got hot. At the same time, I make a Grammy award winning production of shedding my clothes due to how hot I was.So, in conclusion, we are still a couple! The sleeping bag kept us both very comfortable for two nights. The canvas outer layer was unscathed by the dogs nails. I give this sleeping bag major props and two thumbs up. It will be invited to our future wedding.Tip: don't surprise your girlfriend with a mid-December camping trip when she is expecting a romantic get-a-way.

Daily use. 365+ days. "Making the bed has never been easier."
Great price for a great bag.I sleep in this every night. I am 6' and about 230 lbs.ProsComfortableStrong fabricSturdy ZippersWarmThe inside does not bunch up.Sleep quality has increased.Being picky. The tightening strings at the top by the head can be annoying, but they serve a great purpose.ConsNone that I have come across.Update: Trying to wash this thing can be a pain. I would recommended sewing two queen sheets together for prolonged use.Yes, I sleep in this bag every night. Everyone seems to think it is weird when I tell them, but to me it just makes sense. I always hated sleeping with normal blankets, because they would come loose and leave part of your body cold in the night. I live in the Midwest of the United States, so most of the year is cold. I also sleep in my underwear or naked most nights, so I needed a warmer option for the colder times of the year. Keep in mind that we keep our house at about 63 F. I think for camping this sleeping bag would do great in colder weather with the addition of more clothes. I would guess that I would still be plenty warm sleeping outside in 40 F with no clothes. Making the bed has never been easier. I have not slept in this during super warm summer nights, but I will update this review when we get to that time of the year.Update: Summer nights were no problem, don’t sweat it.

Perfect for a car-camping couple
My wife and I slept in one of these at a friend's house and immediately ran out and bought one. Since then we've taken it car camping a dozen times. It's plush and cozy but provides plenty of room for two people to stretch out. Between this sleeping bag and an air mattress, it hardly feels like camping! We love it.In the past we used a lighter, more travel-friendly synthetic two-person sleeping bag. It works for motorcycle trips but is just slightly too constricting for two normal-sized people (I toss and turn a fair amount). This bag is not like that at all - it's like being in a big bed. You can cozy up or spread out as much as you like. The construction is excellent with big heavy-duty double-ended zippers that zip up and down both sides. It feels indestructible. My wife normally sleeps cold but the 0 degree version has served us well for California/Nevada three-season camping. After especially dusty trips we take it to a laundromat and wash it in the oversized machines.Of all our camping kit (we have lots), this is probably our favorite single item.

Grizzies! We love 'em zipped together but sure are hot!
Know that you can zip two of these together and sleep four. We had the best camp out with our kids. Only problem was how hot they were. Probably not fair to deduct a star for that, I should have bought the cooler version. At least you can unzip from the bottom too so you can stick your feet out. I expect to have these for 10-15 years easily.BTW during the first use, a child peed overnight insight the sleeping bag - it happens. I handwashed and tried in the sun but it took days. Take extra caution around liquids with these. If you go tent camping in the rain, your tent best be 100% leak proof.

and we're very happy with it
This was our first cool-weather sleeping bag purchase, and we're very happy with it. We used it in Colorado in May. The temps at night were in the upper 30's and we stayed plenty warm. It definitely would've worked for even cooler weather. I was prepared to be cold at night and wore long-johns and thick socks, but I was pleasantly surprised. I could've gotten away with just regular pajamas on and not been cold. The material on the inside is really soft and comfortable. The material on the outside seems thick and durable enough to make this sleeping bag last a long time. It takes me about ten minutes to stuff it back into the carrying case each time, but if you can fit it in there, it makes it pretty compact which is nice if you have a car full of camping gear. I also like that it has a zipper on each side, so both people can get in and out easily.
