Very Suprised.
Love this fan, the airflow feels like a real breeze, not a blast. What sold me on this fan is how natural the airflow feels. A lot of fans just blow air at you in one stiff, concentrated stream, which gets annoying fast and can feel harsh, especially up close. This one is different โ the air moves more like a gentle, rolling breeze, similar to what you'd feel outside on a nice day. It's spread out and soft instead of a single jet of air hitting you. On the lower setting, it's barely audible โ genuinely one of the quietest fans I've used. I can run it overnight or while working and completely forget it's on. I also love that you can control how wide the fan swivels. It's stepless, so you're not locked into a few preset angles โ you can dial in exactly the width you want, whether that's a narrow, focused sweep or a wide arc that covers the whole room. And when you actually need power, it delivers. Crank it up and it moves a serious amount of air โ great for hot days or quickly cooling down a room, without giving up that soft, breeze-like feel on the lower settings. Overall really happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants a fan that feels natural, stays quiet, and still has real power when you need it.

Youโll like this fan so much, you will want a second one.
This is an outstanding fan for the money. I was really surprised with the power it has being no bigger than it is. And itโs quiet on all speeds. Itโs well made, it doesnโt have that cheap feeling plastic like most fans have nowadays. You can feel the quality from the moment you take it out of the box. I was impressed also with the weighted base. I have thick wall to wall carpet and was concerned about it tipping over with the slightest bump. Thatโs not a problem. I bought it for the bedroom. The windows all face west so I get that hot afternoon sun from around 3:00 pm until dusk. Thereโs just one vent in front of the windows, and it just isnโt enough. I had tried sitting a hassock stool fan over the vent to direct the cold AC air all around the room. It worked just okay, but I couldnโt feel the air directly over my bed. Then a couple of months ago I was on Amazon ordering some things when this pedestal fan popped up. It dawned on me. This is what I need to not only pull the cold air from the vent, but it would blow directly on me. I added it to my order and I could hardly wait for it to arrive. It came first, four days later. I immediately took it out of the box, put the base on and placed it about a foot away from the vent. The hassock fan went back to the closet. WOW! what a difference. I now sleep cool even with a light sheet over me. And I have the speed setting on number six. The fan is about three feet from the foot of my bed. I get a nice fairly strong breeze and my sleep is so much better. I am so impressed with the quality and performance of this fan I had to order another one. And it was still $69. If anyone is searching for a good quality fan, high performance, at a very good price, donโt wait you wonโt be sorry. Oh, I forgot to mention, it has a high quality motor and the manufacturer uses sealed steel closed bearings which will last for years. There not like many fans today that put cheap sleeve bearings in the motor and they seize up after a few seasons of use. I highly recommend this fan, youโll be glad you made the purchase.

I canโt believe how quiet this is
I have been using this fan daily for about 6 weeks now and I love it. The small, simple remote control is great. Every button is clearly marked and useful. The height option is perfect for me. I opted to leave off 1 length of tube and have this shorter version on a narrow hall cabinet, that separates 3 rooms on the 1st floor. I have it set to oscillate, which is a pretty wide arc and keeps the air circulating in all three rooms. Here in SoCal, we have days of blistering temps and it can be a challenge to keep the home cool without running the A/C all day and night. With this DREO oscillating fan, I can run the A/C periodically for about an hour, then let the DREO take over, circulating the cooled air throughout the first floor, for hours. The nicest feature is how quiet this fan is, even when oscillating on HIGH. Fan speed runs from 1 thru 8, which is HI, making it very versatile for all your needs. The breeze it creates is strong and constantly circulating. I can do crafts sitting about 5 ft away from this fan, listen to audio books and barely hear the fan. There is an auto feature that adjusts fan speed as it senses a change in temp. So far I have not seen that kick in even though I have the Auto feature, on. Itโs not important to me. This is my 2nd DREO fan and I love it. If you need an adjustable height, oscillating fan that moves a lot of air and is whisper quiet, I highly recommend this model. Best bang for the $buck of the year. Love, love, love it.

Small but mighty
I didn't want to write a review until we had some hot weather. This fan arrived 5 days late. When I unboxed it, my husband wasn't happy with its size. I had read the reviews so I knew what to expect. When he got home from work in the morning, he turned the fan on and was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. We have it dead center at the foot of our bed as high as it will go. We have a rather high bed but it's actually perfect. When the temps were in the 90's our home doesn't usually cool down until early in the morning so it's hard to get to sleep at night with the box fan we had. With this little fan however we were able to get to sleep and our bedroom was the coolest room in our home. We actually had to cover up in the middle of the night because we were a little chilly and it was only on 3 sometimes 4. This little fan is quiet too. On full blast it's as loud as our box fan was on low. My husband has problems hearing the TV due to background noise but he can actually hear it ok now and didn't have to have the volume up so loud. The wind output from this little fan covers the entire bed. We haven't used the scent pad yet so I can't comment on that. I'm actually considering getting another one to replace the fan in the living room even though it doesn't need replacing. If you're looking for a fan, seriously look no further. This is the one you want. Don't let the size fool you. It's seriously a great little fan. It impressed my husband and that's hard to do. It's height is adjustable, although not that high but it's perfect for a bed. Ladies going through menopause will appreciate this. It oscillates and doesn't take up much space. Seriously buy this if you need a fan. You won't be disappointed.

Great fan
This is the most awesome fan youโll ever run across. I am genuinely thrilled because Iโve had so many crappy fans in hot weather that the comfort level that this fan provides makes you so grateful for itโs performance. I purchased it for indoor use and used it in both a large and medium sized room. Hereโs my list: 1. Compact - small base that fits into spots so much more conveniently than the big hub cap base on other fans. BUT, it is really sturdy and maybe even a little bit heavy for a senior. The fan housing is also nice and compact. 2. Power - amazing velocity for such a compact blade surface. 3. Range - the settings go from 1-8 and I havenโt needed to go past 5 for really strong air movement. 4. Gentle - sounds silly but the 1-3 setting provides the perfect light touch for when youโre sleeping and donโt want it blasting in your face but want air movement. 5. Quiet - it is whisper quiet on settings 1-4; at 5 and above you can hear it but itโs almost more the sound of moving air, not a rattle or hum. This was a huge factor for me. 6. Has a remote - very handy from bed and the remote has well thought out features. 7. The up and down tilt is constantly tight so you can position the face wherever you want it, you donโt have to rely on clicks that you invariably want the position right between the clicks. Iโve been through a lot of other fans, and the noise or lack of air movement or flopping blade housing raises your frustration and makes the heat worse. This one will not disappoint.

Good fan with excellent air flow, little loud
Great value fan, looks good lot of air are the good side of the story. The air freshening feature does not work that well for me. Fan is quite up to four speed, but after that point it is loud.... in comparison with similar fans.

LOVE IT! Powerful and quiet
Without a doubt, this was the best purchase so far! Stylish, powerful, QUIETโa beauty. It feels great in my apartment; the air circulation is incredibleโand Iโm talking about the NYC heatwave. I love itโI bought it myself with my money! but if Dreo wants to send me one for free so I can try out other products, Iโd accept in a heartbeat!

Comparing this Dreo Pedestal Fan with the Dreo Tower Fan
Back in July I needed a new fan. I had trouble deciding which to get, so I treated myself to two: This Dreo Pedestal Fan (Amazon ASIN: B0CTCWLV35) and the Dreo Tower Fan (ASIN: B08PDDSDHY). This pedestal fan is more like a typical fan (it has a round portion on top that holds the blades). The tower fan is more unusual in that the blades run the length of the unit, which is like a skinny post. Dreo fans are shorter than other fans that I've had, but I think this enables them to have a smaller footprint. By that I mean that the base doesn't need to be as big in diameter to stop the fan from falling over. I like these fans, but they are very different. If you are trying to decide which type to get, perhaps this review will help. DREO TOWER FAN: I put the tower fan in the bedroom because it fits a little space I have in the corner. This fan takes up much less room than the pedestal fan because it's less bulky on top. The fan is quiet. However, noise is different at night when I'm trying to sleep. On its lowest windspeed setting it's almost silent and hard to notice that it's on, but even at this speed, it helps to circulate the air in the bedroom. The number 2 setting is reasonably quiet. I find the number 3 setting to be a little too noisy at night while I'm trying to sleep, but I don't think I would notice during the day. At this 3rd setting, the wind is a little too strong to have it blow directly on me. However, if it's a hot night, my husband likes it at this stronger setting and positions it to blow across the foot of our bed, which is comfortable for both of us. The fan has additional, more powerful settings (it can go up to 6), but we don't tend to use them. The fan noise isn't bad during the day, but the 3rd setting is the most I can tolerate at night. The tower fan can be set to rotate or be stopped to blow in one position/direction. A problem is that it can rotate only at its maximum (120 degrees). I would have preferred that it be customizable to rotate perhaps 45 degrees or 90 degrees. 120 is too much for our bedroom, as it tends to blow things that we don't want to have blown. Another thing to be aware of is that the tower fan can blow only across (horizontal to the floor). You cannot change the angle of the air to blow up or down. It's fine for blowing in the direction it is facing, but as the fan is short (the top of the blades is about 3 feet from the ground) the wind is only from about the base of the blades to 32 inches from the floor. If you want to feel the wind higher up than 3 feet, then this is not the fan for you. DREO PEDESTAL FAN: It's about the same height as the tower fan, but the tower fan is shaped like a rectangular post (6x6) with a wide, circular base.. The pedestal fan has a skinnier post, but a MUCH bulkier top. It's blade portion is about 12 inches across in diameter and almost 8 inches thick, so it looks like a pot turned sideways. However, the pedestal fan is more versatile than the tower. Like the tower fan, it has a maximum rotation of 120 degrees, but the rotation can be adjusted so it can turn in a smaller arc (or stopped to point in a specific direction). Another important difference is that the round portion holding the blades can be tilted to change the direction of the air flow. The pedestal fan can blow across (horizontal to the floor) or tilted up. It can blow straight up (90 degrees) or anything between 0 degrees (horizontal) or 90 degrees. (One problem I did encounter was that the manual didn't say that it was okay to grab it and tilt it manually. As this was an expensive fan, I didn't want to break it, so I at first flipped thru the manual to see if there was a button I needed to push to change the tilt. There isn't. However, I stop the fan from rotating before I tilt the blades--just to be extra careful.) The pedestal fan has 9 different windspeeds (the strongest is called turbo), so it can make a MUCH stronger breeze than the tower fan. As it's in the living room, we haven't tried to sleep with it, but if it were in the bedroom I assume I would have it at a low setting to reduce noise. If we are watching tv, I usually don't set it stronger than a 6, though I could probably go a little higher if I needed to. The airflow is fine for circulating air. I've been happy with it. However, based on the other reviews, I had expected this fan to create a much stronger breeze than it does. I suspect that the reviewers have only had wimpy fans to compare it to. I can understand that. Although I used to be able to find good, powerful fans, lately it's been hard to find any fans that make a good breeze--and most are very, very noisy. In comparison to other fans, I think the Dreos are fairly quiet. The amount of noise they make is low in relation to the amount of air they move. Holmes makes a nice fan that is cheap--around $30? It's quiet and looks nice, but unless I'm less than 5 feet away, I don't feel any breeze. In comparison to this fan, either Dreo is very powerful. It can make a strong breeze that I can feel several yards away. Both come with a remote, but I prefer to use the controls on the unit. The one problem I have with the pedestal fan is that I tend to accidentally touch the controls when I want to pick up the fan--but it's a minor inconvenience. Another thing to be aware of, is that the pedestal fan is easier to clean than the tower fan. That is, you can take more of it apart to get at any trapped dust, fur or hair. For the tower fan, you're pretty much limited to vacuuming the outside. So far, I'm happy with these fans. I would give the tower fan 4 stars and this pedestal one 5 stars. I like that the tower fan is so small and skinny. Even though it's not as versatile/powerful as the pedestal one, it's fine for our bedroom. I've used the pedestal fan a lot more because it can blow up or across. I've often moved it around the room on hot days. For a few months, I left it on 24/7. Now that the weather is colder, I don't need the fans so much. I hope they will work next year when the weather warms up.

Promise delivered!
4 stars for the misleading pictures with a led screen when in reality it doesn't have one. Otherwise a very good product, it delivers what it promises. Have been using it for about a month now, satisfied.
