I am only an occasional user of aftershave, so by no means an expert, and I have no idea what most of the things in the notes smell like.It's nicely presented, and to me has the look of a more expensive product. It's big too, you get a decent amount for your coins.On my first use, I did not like it at all. My immediate impression was that it smelt like a whisky cask. However, after a few minutes, once the alcohol has gassed off I guess, it settled down into a more mellow fragrance. Still woody but with a pleasantly sweet background to it. I rather like it and will continue to use it.

This smells lovely, and in my opinion is close to Aventus, which it's trying to mimic.No, it's not identical, and if you have them side by side you will absolutely tell the difference, but on its own its a cracking copy, and let's be honest, how often would you be smelling both together?It lasted well for about 6/7 hours and then tailed off a bit, but the smell stayed pretty consistent during that time.On top of being a close copy and a very good price, it's cruelty free which is very important to me. I can't give you any reason not to buy it, I'm impressed with this aftershave.

A lovely everyday wear fragrance. Smells very fresh and does last a while after spray. Should be able to smell the fragrance in its entirety after a few minutes after spraying, and it doesn't change too much as the day goes along.

This is my review of The Essence Vault 200 Aftershave which comes in a good sized 100ml bottle. It is a really good budget dupe for Creed's designer Aventus cologne, costing a fraction of the price. It has top notes of citrus with a mellow warm woody finish. It is also vegan and cruelty-free.

I've been wanting to try scents from The Essence Vault for ages after hearing them discussed on a radio programme as good dupes – in this case, The Essence Vault 200 has the essence of Creed Aventus which costs £290 on Amazon. I haven't smelt the original so can't compare but I love this version.The bottles are good quality, let down a little by the lid which feels like it will snap but it's easy to replace or just pour the lot into an atomiser. I personally wouldn't pay £290 for a perfume, especially as the Aventus bottle itself isn't that appealing but these Essence Vault scents allow you to try very similar-smelling perfumes or aftershaves almost like a sample before investing in the original.The reason I hadn't actually bought one before was that I have sensitive skin and was worried I'd react but I didn't at all so will be buying others. The scent itself is lovely, it's billed as aftershave but it's light with floral notes – I got lemongrass, lime balm, lavender and jasmine. I love it!It lasts for hours, that was another big concern with buying a dupe aftershave/perfume but I'm very impressed. There was even a very slight scent the next morning. Use sparingly, one quick squirt will last for hours and it's not overwhelming. I'm so happy with it.I'm now an Essence Vault convert and I'm delighted they're on Amazon so no postage costs to consider (I have Prime), 5*

This aftershave smells absolutely gorgeous, fresh and decadent.It's powerful and lasts all day long.It's great quality and made very well.Highly recommend.
