Not at all worth. Its expensive but not worth the price. It stops recording in 1 minutes showing sd card slow. No matter what type of card or class of card size of card, format, reset you do. It just doesnt work. The manufacturer is not there to support Indian customers. You will have to interact with seller who will advise to change the sd card.

This dashcam's video footage helped me successfully pursue a protracted insurance claim case following an accident. Although only the front camera unit was installed, the interior facing camera has such a wide angle lens that the incident was clearly captured from the rear and side window, on top of which it was night-time. The build quality of the Vantrue N5 is excellent and feels premium. The magnet mount is strong and secure. I used the permanent windscreen mount, after the accident I brought the suction cup mount to use temporarily, both are good options. From my experience the Vantrue N5 dashcam has excellent day time visibility for both the external and internal cameras. For night time the interior camera footage quality is excellent, whilst the external for night time is satisfactory. The vantrue app has been intuitive and does what is expected to connect to the camera and retrieve and share footage onto my phone. My only gripe would be there is no search function which means I have to scroll through potentially hundreds of files to find something. However, collisions are automatically detected and stored in a separate folder which is helpful. I used the original hardwire kit and had it fitted by an auto electrician. It worked flawlessly without any issues. For my next car I intend to have the rear camera also fitted. Vantrue customer support has been excellent as has their communication. I requested new stickers for the window mount which they sent without charge. After I realised the window mount was damaged due to the accident, they kindly sent out a replacement - again without charge. Thank you. I have recommended this camera to my friends.

Vantrue N5 or N4 Pro Review This is a verified review for the Vantrue N5 or N4 Pro which I purchased from Amazon. I am giving this 5 (five) stars based on its functionality and on my opinion from use over the last 4 (four) months. I purchased two for separate cars, a Volvo XC60 and a Mini. The one installed in the Volvo was easy to install and configure and using it was so easy. I wired this in myself and this is where the problem lies in this install. If using the OBD power cable, this has an angled connector into the mounting unit - great when you are installing next to the trim on the windscreen. The data cable connected between the rear camera and front camera has straight connectors on either end and is 20ft (6m) so in some cars this length is ok, in a mini or similar size you have a lot of spare cable to tuck away. Connecting this to the rear camera is a straight insert, for the front this is in from the top and interferes with install due to cable / connector stiffness an d can affect pin connectivity - especially if you want to place the camera at the top near the trim to make it unobtrusive. The video quality and sound recording is of very good quality and you can configure record timing / duration, where is will provide you with continuous coverage with exceptional field of view for front and rear cameras. Daytime and night time recording is both of good quality, sound recording is good and I like the fact you can give voice commands to take pictures etc. Alternatively for this function the remote works well too. Customer support is great, very responsive and support is great. Downsides in my opinion are: Cable from front to rear - connectors would be better if were right angles, and different lengths available based on car types / lengths. Mounting - in my Volvo was no problem, however, installation in a Mini found that the weight of the camera caused the sticky pads to disengage with the windscreen, possibly due to windscreen curvature so was troublesome ensuring it remained mounted - after using a strong adhesive and other pads we resolved this but it did leave some residue in place. I do not hesitate to give this Vantrue N5 Pro a FIVE STAR Rating for the camera functionality / performance and would highly recommend this camera based on its functionality and the quality of recording outputs for audio and visual - the best I have tried and easy to install. I think for the installation aspects Vantrue should consider reviewing these aspects.

First a caveat. I’ve installed this dash cam in a very old, not very well-maintained hatchback so not the ideal test. I did purchase this to go in a new SUV, but that doesn’t arrive for a few months and bought this early as it was at a reduced price and didn’t want it sitting in a box untested for that long. Not the best cable management, as couldn’t be bothered, and the windows are a little smeary and have really bad reflections, but more on that. Also, I’ve only posted a couple of pictures due to privacy concerns (I couldn’t upload anything with license plates in) and I’ve cut down the images to only the important parts, and no idea how much compression Amazon does. This camera does come with everything you need for a normal install in the box, although I did find I needed more than 1 plastic facia tool for some parts of the install (and probably 2 sets of hands!). The camera main unit is a little larger than expected but does have to do a lot and still didn’t look too bad on my hatchback windscreen, and the rear unit is much smaller. There are multiple resolution options, but with an A2 SD card, as it suggested, I didn’t have any issues with artifacts or missed frames on the highest setting, despite other reviews I read online. The 2 internal cameras are more than enough for what they are and do show good images, even in the black and white night shots, which it switches to at night. The front camera look absolutely stunning in the daytime and the rear camera is as good as it needs to be, but I was a little disappointed with it during night driving. Perhaps that doesn’t have the extra image features the front does. Also, my rear window is the worst condition and I think I need to reposition it a little, but only have 2 sets of 3M stickers and wanted to leave the 2nd set for the new car. That being said, it’ll still show you who’s at fault during any incident, which is the main purpose. Again, probably a fault of my windows, but the front camera did show up a lot of reflection, no matter the lighting conditions, but still had good images and could still show oncoming number plates in good light (which I can’t show you!). You can see my stereo, etc, a lot in the night images. I wouldn’t imagine any camera at this price point would show good number plate images at any sort of distance during bad lighting conditions due to headlight glare. However, even the rear camera was able to for a car that was extremely close, which it would be if it was about to hit you! Things to consider; • Reflections: some pricier cameras do come with a polarised lens, but you can get add-on lenses, so I may purchase one and will update this if it improves things, even with my crappy windows. • Not all features work with the standard install on some cars. All the ‘away from vehicle’ features require permanent power, and if, like me, your cigarette lighter doesn’t have power unless the key is in the final position, then the only way to get these features is if you purchase the separate hard wire kit. Which I will do when I fit this to the permanent car. • The cable to the rear camera is think, which I assume is a good thing, but can limit your options when trying to do an ‘invisible’ install. • Be careful when opening the SD cover as it’s just held on by a rubber wire (picture shown). Although if it does snap, the magnet is pretty strong so shouldn’t come off anyway. Is this camera worth the price, yes, it has its faults, but does a great job for the money.

Read cam doesnt stay stuck to window. Its too heavy for the stickers. Its needs a suction cup like the front one. Ive spent so much money on glues to make it stick. I even tried duck taping it to rear window whilst glue set, see pics but as soon as you go over a bump it falls off. Not fit for purpose. Customer service is shockingly bad, returning it. Waste of money.
