Tasteless, skin improvement, joint pain reduction

Too early to tell if it’s working, but half the reviews are absolutely wild. Some people swear it smells strongly of fish/vomit/whatever else comes to mind, granny underpants or some cotton candy they ate back in 1962.... The other half insist it’s completely tasteless. I’ve now put it into hot chocolate, tea, and even plain milk and can honestly say… I can’t taste or smell ANYTHING AT ALL No fish. No aftertaste. Nothing weird. It just disappears into liquid.. So now the real mystery isn’t whether it works, it’s which camp you’ll fall into. Will it taste like absolutely nothing, or will you suddenly feel like you’re drinking a mug of hot chocolate on a fishing boat? It’s less a supplement and more a personality test. But If this stuff gets me doing cartwheels around the garden again without sounding like an old floorboard, I’ll be back to upgrade this to a very enthusiastic 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This collagen powder contains the 5 main types of collagen (so far there are 28 known types) in peptide form (hydrolysed). I didn't like the taste and so I either put it in fruit juice or I combined it with the strawberry and raspberry collagen powder from Applied Nutrition. The powder mixed very easily in cold water using a protein shaker. Rightly or wrongly I credit the powder with the improvements I've made with a knee tendon problem. I had been struggling to find any improvement in my knee for a while and so I decided to give collagen peptides a try. I decided upon this product because it had all the main types of peptide and was at a reasonable price. One hour prior to my knee strengthening session I took a vitamin C tablet with the collagen protein drink. Over the following 8 weeks I made very good progress in terms of pain reduction and strengthening of the knee. Of course I can't say with certainty that it was using the powder(s) that accounts for the improvement in my knee - it could be coincidence - but I had made little progress prior to adding the vitamin c plus collagen protein drink. As tendon injuries can be really hard to recover from at my age (61) I'm simply happy to be in less pain and have a working knee again.

The scoop in the pack is 20mg. On the packet it tells you to use 2 scoops for a serving of 20mg. I hadn't seen the tiny writing on the scoop so was double dosing for months which co-incided with an upset stomach in the mornings. I've reduced my dose to the 20mg and my stomach has settled. But the labelling and scoop size are misleading. Other than that, I hope it works. I've used collagen for a few years now and I'm nervous about coming off it. It seems to help my tendons feel more stretchy and less stiff. And I'm hoping it helps my wrinkles but who knows. I think it does help thicken my hair.

Was wary of buying a different brand than usual but have no choice as my other product is no longer available in the UK. However I am pleased with this product it ticks the boxes on ingredients and it has no taste when taken in my morning black coffee which is all I add it so can't comment on anything else. I have just had knee surgery so hoping this help supports my recovery. So far so good. Plus it is much cheaper than my previous product.

Each small scoop (scoop provided) has 18g of protein. 1-2 scoops are suggested a day. I dissolve one scoop in a coffee in the morning and another in a tea in the afternoon. I cannot detect any smell, I do think I can detect a very small alteration in taste but it is not unpleasant, just noted. I try not to think of what it’s made with is the only thing! I will definitely buy again.
