My daughter eats this like there is a shortage of these! She loves the flavor and gives a portion to our two furry friends! Buying it through the Subscription is a great value for your money! The texture is like many other tuna but not soggy like others as the water content is low in these bags compared to the canned version. Like the cans it has the same light brown/pink color, with a great quality that isn't way too fishy! The one thing I really like is the protein my daughter is getting!

Salmon is soooo good for you, and it is easy to get enough of it if you buy these pouches. They're great! Nice, flavorful salmon that you can eat straight out of the pouch or use in infinite ways. What I used them for: tossing them in with scrambled eggs, dill, and some salt with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. This 'salmon scramble' lunch is great to pack up and reheat at work (the eggs mask the fishy-while-microwaving smell), especially with a tab of butter melted on top.

This makes an awesome "dynamite" (sushi style) salmon salad, which is great as a sandwich or on crackers. I love adding eel sauce and spice mayo to this, with some furikake to make a sushi inspired salad. I don't really measure anything, just adjust it how you like it. I mix my own spicy mayo so I can get the spice level where I want it. This also tastes good with avocado. There's a lot in each packet, so it makes at least 2 servings. I have ordered this many times. This last order seems to have more water in it and the water smells VERY fishy , but once you pour out the water the salmon is fine, sometimes I leave it in and just add a couple of crushed up Ritz crackers to soak up the excess liquid, because somewhere in the back of my mind I have convinced myself that the water has vitamins in it...LOL. So, far the funky liquid hasn't made my sweat smell fishy the way sardines can (if you've ever eaten sardines for any length of time you know that "old man" smell I am talking about). One of the reasons I buy pouch salmon is to not have to deal with bones, skin, or excess water, so I hope they stop adding so much water or I will have to find a different product. Other than that it's a wonderful product.

EDIT: for a QUICK INEXPENSIVE PROTEIN-PACKED MEAL, I mix one of these packets with the KRAFT WHITE CHEDDAR BOWLS. REALLY FAST and EASY and helps me get more protein in my day (while also TASTING GREAT)! If you work in an office and don't have much time or money, keeping these packets and Kraft bowls in your desk will save you bucks, time and better than vending machine fare. ______________________________________________ PROS: GREAT TASTE - Fresh and I love it's packed in water. The expiration date was about two years out, so that was really good. NICE SIZE for the money - Just enough for a sandwich or to add to my mac and cheese. PACKAGING - I NO LONGER get canned tuna. I think the kind in packets tastes much better and fresher. CONVENIENT - I no longer drive and so just take a taxi shopping a couple times a month, so Prime delivery is great AND it's the same price, or LESS, than I get at the store. NO CONS - if anything changes, I will update.

Great source of protein. Used these to make super yummy jalapeno salmon patties. They were to die for. An easy and convenient way to up your protein intake. Great price and easy to use. Definitely will be reordering.
