Avoid!!! If I could, I wouldn't give any stars! I bought portable 12000 ch pro unit, as it promised to provide Ac in the summer and heat in the colder months. I do understand , and it was clear to me , that summer time the vent should be moved outside, but it was not clear that in the colder days vent also has to be out! What is the purpose of being portable unit if it has to be fixed to an open window otherwise freezing cold coming from the back, warm air coming from the front!!! I could probably save on buying just Ac unit, turn around and not connect vent pipe to have the hot air . Same result! Meaco ustomer service not helpful, the only thing they say is " outside the 30 days return window" save and buy proper Ac, this is an expensive farse!!!

In terms of performance and functionality I can’t fault it. It’s going to be noisy, it’s just basic physics. The idea is to pre cool the room then it only needs to kick in every so often to maintain temp. With the heatwaves becoming longer and more frequent, the upstairs of the house was becoming unbearable, this quickly cools a large bedroom with the door open. The app works well and you can schedule actions like putting the unit into sleep mode at a certain time. One star off as the window kits are pretty useless for uk style casement windows that open out so I made my own Velcro on Perspex vent frame and the swing action makes a creaking noise at the very top of the action.

Find this really noisy, even in night mode! No idea if we are doing something wrong, I don’t think so….
