HP LaserJet Pro P1102 Laser Printer with Start Up Toner

I purchased this laser printer after having no luck with ink jets over the past two years. The ink kept drying up before I had used it and the printers insisted on me buying new colour cartridges even though I only use the black before I could print. I am thrilled with this new one it is quiet, quick and has lovely clear printing qualities. The toner cartridges are quite expensive but last a long time and most importantly do not dry up if not used for a while (just a quick shake is all that is required). I recommend anyone to try it.

I`ve given up on inkjet printers, they are a nightmare compared to this little box of tricks. My old inkjet would only print in black ? because i couldnt get a colour cart to work, and at £40 a throw, thats not funny, i did try refilling, but the hassle and faffing about was a step beyond stupid. ordering bottles of ink online, + refill kits etc, and the mess you could get was mindblowing. This little baby, one cartridge, which can be refilled? one hole in cart, one bottle of powder and a plug, job done, another 1000+ pages. very neat little thing, fitted on my shelf, no problem, very fast printing comparable to the old inkjet, if you can get away with black & white print, then this is the kit for you. My only real gripe is, HP do NOT include a usb cable in the box, so if you buy, get a cable while your at it, i got one here from amazon for £1.83 + free del. why HP cant include a cable baffles me, the cost to HP would be pence, and usb is pretty universal? thats why i only gave 4 stars, the actual printer is a brilliant bit of kit. by the way, my old inkjet was an HP. If your looking for a black and white printer, do yourself a favour, and buy one of these. you can get replacement carts online for about 40 quid, for around 1000 pages, thats pretty good value in y book.

As others have described this printer before me, I would just like to point out that the cheapest toner that one can get for this printer starts at around £50 and this seriously needs to be weighed in when buying the printer - my toner ran out of juice after printing a few hundred pages. All in all, the trend that printers are cheap, but cartridges cost as much seems to have entered the laser market (but has been common practice among inkjet manufacturers).

JUST GOT THIS AND SO FAR ITS WORKING great very fast printing and super clear as well,easy to install. I have printed several hundred pages of star maps and they are very detailed (at 1200dpi)and very clear and much better than my inkjet which gave up the ghost after 200 or 300 hundred pages of said maps, probably the head is worn out.the speed of this printer is brilliant about 10 or 20 times the inkjet. so great if you don't mind B&w which is probably 90% of what i need.I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it. well done amazon for the super quick and free delivery on this one, i ordered this on the 6th June and received it yesterday the 9th.

Reasonably priced and very easy to set up. However, the pages print with a slight curve, as though the printer is misshaping the page as it goes through the feed. Not sure if I received a faulty model, but a bit annoying.

I needed a replacement for my old workhorse HP Laserjet 6L, and despite wasting time and money on certain "other" brands of inkjet (cartidge lifetime/replacement cost?!) printers, I've gone back to a basic black & white printer that is compact, does all I need of a printer (if I need colour, I'll get it at work as that's the only place I really do require it), works straight from the box, and seems to have excellent online backup. My only quibble - the shock of finding out what a replacement toner cartridge is, but hopefully that's some way away yet. Don't waste time, money and resources printin out multiple copies of documents/charts, be prepared to edit on-screen or just press F7 to spellcheck; and if you need colour prints, fine, go for something else - but this is excellent value for the money for me.

My HP Laserjet 4L was purchased in 1992 and printed its way without a hiccup at least 4 times around the planet. Not very fast, but oh so reliable and silent. It was replaced because its plug (or the PMICA card) is out of sink with my laptop and/or the latest XP version. And then it started to produce pages that were dark grey on the left hand side over the full length of the page. Possibly because for once, I bought a non HP toner cartridge? Or has the time come for a new machine? Exit: PH Laserjet 4L. Enter: The HP P1102. Pro: fast, plug and play actually works, neat print quality. Cons: noisy!, tends to pick up several sheets at the same time, after printing the sheets come out curly, manual duplex printing does not work at all and neither does the setting for draft print - so that is a waste of ink. Conclusion: I would not recommend this machine.

Love this printer, had one in my office for 10 years and never had an issue with it. It just does what it says on the tin, black and white bog standard printing - our other inkjet printer at home works fine for colour but is much more temperamental so I wanted something straightforward for printing text. Hopefully this printer will last as long as my old office one :) However, one thing I didn't like is that there's no printer cable included - first time that's happened to me, had to buy this separately. I had to call HP to obtain a driver to work with OS10 Yosemite on my MacBook - there isn't anything online as far as I'm aware and the instructions from HP direct you to Apple Updates (where the driver isn't available - the only LaserJet one listed doesn't work with this printer) and HP don't have software to download and direct you back to Apple (not helpful!) This is an old printer product now so not surprising but the chap from HP support was very patient - they will go through all the usual rubbish reading off their script but they just need to download the software for you but (like most tech support) you'll have to go through all the hoops first!

Ocupa muy poco. Se pueden hacer muchas copias a un buen precio y la calidad es muy buena. Rápida. No requiere instalación. Se "enchufa" y ya está lista para usar. Muy recomendable.

J'avais gardé une excellente impression de HP avec son une increvable imprimante HP 4L. Mon imprimante canon LBP5100 couleur m'a lâché et j'ai acheté ce petit modele pas cher à l'achat qui s'avère vraiment très bien à l'usage : compacte, rapide, fiable, bonne qualité d'impression. A noter que ce n'est pas une pro (un peu plus fragile) et elle n'est pas wifi.

Premetto di possedere stampanti laser decisamente più' costose e...ingombranti. Con alcune di queste e' stata una lotta con i driver e le cartucce. Non posso che dichiararmi sorpreso da questa piccola HP, collegata al mac e zac, subito operativa al 100%! La velocità di stampa e' incredibile e la a qualità più che soddisfacente, i neri sono pieni e dai contorni netti. Ho trovato cartucce compatibili a ottimi prezzi, decisamente sotto la media. Se l'autonomia si rivelerà' di buon livello avrò trovato la stampante perfetta. Ovviamente per un utilizzo domestico o per piccoli uffici. La qualità costruttiva e' buona, e la periferica e' piacevole da guardare, non sfigurerà sulla vostra scrivania. Il tasto di accensione e spegnimento frontale e' assolutamente comodo, anche se sembra un po' gracile. assolutamente comodo lo spegnimento automatico, non correrete il rischio di dimenticarla accesa. a questo prezzo e' un' affare!

La tenemos como auxiliar porque tenemos una grande, fotocopiadora, escaner, fax e impresora. Hace 2 meses que la tenemos y es mucho mejor que la anterior, menos ruidosa, impresión con mas calidad y el cartucho que venia nos ha durado mas de 2 meses. La anterior que teníamos tambien HP nos ha durado 6 o 7 años y eso que le hemos dado "caña a tope" cada día,aun funciona pero la hemos retirado porque ha roto una pestaña y el folio sale ladeado y atasca los siguientes. Siempre comprare impresoras HP para mi son las mejores, he tenido de 2 marcas mas de las mas conocidas en mi domicilio y no duran ni la mitad que las HP. El precio también ha sido muy bueno al estar de oferta, es decir, nos ha costado la mitad que la anterior, 6 o 7 años después y mucho mas moderna claro. Compra totalmente recomendable

Ja der Drucker passt wenn man keine großen Erwartungen hat. Ist schön leise schnell und sauberer Druck. Ein USB Kabel war dabei und der Toner auch, aber nicht Original. HP hat gleich beim ersten Druck gemotzt. Die Wellen durch die Walzen, die von vielen Nutzern angesprochen werden, sind schon erkennbar aber nicht dramatisch. Ich benötige den Drucker für meinen alten und nicht im Internet angeschlossenen, Win XP PC. Ich hätte mich gefreut wenn eine Treiber CD dabei gewesen wäre. So musste ich im Datendschungel vom HP viel Zeit vertrödeln bis ich den richtigen Treiber für XP gefunden habe. Dafür einen Sternabzug. Ich war jetzt erstaunt beim Lesen der Bestellübersicht zu entnehmen daß es sich um ein gebrauchtes Produkt handelt. In der Produktbeschreibung war das nicht erwähnt. Das geht eigentlich gar nicht.
