Nicely complements Dr. Mukherjee’s catheterization textbook. Review: Overall decent additional question source, some topics too focused on minutiae - I overall liked it as an additional question source for interventional boards recert exam. CathSAP questions seemed overall more boards-relevant but still a lot of good topics and even though many questions focused on minutiae that are probably not boards-relevant, it still provided decent questions for review. I really liked that the questions were also available in an on-line format (select answer, submit then immediate scoring of the question plus explanation) but there were a few chapters where the publisher messed up the online answer key. Chapter 24 was especially problematic. Not a huge deal because you can cross-check with the book hard copy, which did not have the same errors but still is something the publisher should have fixed by now.

Reasonable book for graduating fellows
The images are good but the lengthy question stems and the “all are true EXCEPT” questions are worthless.

Poorly written, often irrelevant questions
Poorly written, often ambiguous questions. Often focuses on issues irrelevant to the Boards, such as distinctions between IIa and IIb recommendations or obscure clinical trials. In comparison to the questions available in the CATHSAP ACC review course, these questions are poorly conceived, terribly written, and often more dedicated to the author’s personal interests than to the priorities of board review. The only reason to buy this book is if you really feel the need for more questions to run through, but it’s a truly mediocre product.
