This was the biggest unit we could put in for our very open, vaulted ceiling's, open loft style home without needing a heavy duty 3-4 prong outlet. This unit is technically very undersized for our home and we knew that but was the best option at the time. We built a stand for it because it’s heavy and our windows doesn’t go the right direction for this style of AC unit. We got creative with fitting it, and that is due to our specific home, not the unit itself. Overall this unit is incredibly reliable and makes our home so comfortable and we’re very impressed with how well it keeps up! Our home will get at low as 66° even on a 100°+ day. Considering how undersized this unit is for our house, we’re incredibly impressed with its ability! Installation is easy and so far no leaks! For how large it is, I would say it’s very quiet! It also looks really nice and I love that it has a movable/amiable output cover. I would recommend getting more or thicker foam and heat tape for around the windows. We’ve noticed better sealing and efficiency with all of our units by doing this.

Bought three of these units. They are quiet and cool quickly. I am extremely pleased and would recommed these to anyone. The price is great and free delivery to Prime Members.... The shipping alone pays for the Prime Membership. This is a winner.

This is a frequently returned product, because LG doesn't use adequate packaging material. The Styrofoam was shattered in many pieces from shipping and is not adequate thickness. This is purely LG's fault and not Amazon. The AC unit arrived bent with lots of cooling fin damage front and rear. The chassis would not release the AC unit as it so many dents from shipping. That would have been one more expensive return to Amazon. Fortunately, I didn't bother with LG installation and used a $43 window mount platform that offered a much better installation all from inside the house. The unit cools nicely and would get 5 stars if LG would fix the ultra cheap packaging.

This is by far the best investment to date I've made for my 33 foot "live-in" full-time travel trailer. Here in Arizona where 110-120F for long stretches and 90+ being our cool days this AC exceeded what I was hoping for. Typically what I've seen here with others adding a window AC is they still need to have the less than efficient rooftop AC running as well. So I expected the same especially when I ordered it just as the heatwave was coming. Even when it's 120F, no need for rooftop AC and I set it at 65 (low) during the day and 75 (low) at night. If I'm super hot coming from outside I'll momentarily give it a medium blast for 5 mins to cool down. At night like 2-3AM (still upper 90's outside) I find myself pointing the vents away cause it's a bit chilly and that's a good thing. I mounted it in a window that is 2 feet from where my favorite lounge chair is and it super quiet. Rooftop is half way across the trailer and I always have to turn up the volume when it's on. This thing is really efficient and a fraction to operate compared to the rooftop unit. Remote is nice but the app is awesome. Way more control in the app. I love that I can turn it on off by timer or if driving back home I want it freezing when I get there you can control it as long as you have wifi for the unit and cell signal for your phone. It's just a little bigger than expected but that's only cause I was using my neighbors AC for reference but turns out here is smaller than normal. I'll say this though, it does have some weight. At 65 years old, I've always been into active sports but I really burst out in a sweat just as it was entering the case it mounts in which I really liked. Pretty simple setup if you're a DYI. I was very surprised when looking at Amazon that it is well over $100 more now and it wasn't some special sale when I bought it July 17th so I'm glad I didn't wait. Overall I am 10/10 with this one. I'm usually a Samsung purchaser so this is my first LG appliance and I wouldn't switch it for anything. Will definitely purchase another if needed and recommend to anyone asking.

Cools my living room down to a comfortable temperature and is really quiet. Incredibly difficult to install compared to other ACs. Requires basically disassembling and reassembling the unit and low tolerances if you want to use a bracket

Overall, the AC works amazingly well. It’s super quiet, cools the room quickly, and performs exactly the way I hoped. The only downside is that it arrived damaged, which was really disappointing. Equipment like this needs to be handled much more carefully during delivery.

Central AC is failing, Landlord is not going to fix it so I needed to cool a 697 square foot room with 9.5ft ceilings with a window unit. This unit does the job made a huge different in 105 degree weather. I purchased the 14,000 BTU model (even though I would have preferred the 18000) because it was the largest I could get on a standard 15 amp/120v outlet. I paid $528.00 if anyone was curious, which is a decent price for an inverter model I think. If you are also a renter, I would suggest getting a no-drill bracket, and some clamp style window locks to replace the screw in sash lock.

This air conditioner is AMAZING! It cools and/or dehumidifies three rooms at once in a 5th floor apartment. Our living room is about 800 sqft and the other two rooms add up to a bit less than 800 sqft. The best part is how quietly it functions. We also have another 14K BTU air conditioner (not a dual inverter) in a third bedroom, but it is loud and doesn't cool as large a space. Hands down the best AC I've ever experienced. It was not difficult to install. Yes, one must install it in two phases, the "shell", then install the actual AC, but it was seamless. I thought it would be more difficult, but it was easier. It seems annoying, but it's not bad. If you live in a humid environment (like NYC can sometimes be, even if the temperature doesn't rise above 75°F), or a place where the temperature can rise above 85°F when the sun shines through your window(s), I HIGHLY recommend this air conditioner.
