My dog is dying of kidney disease. My vet prescribed this to use for the rest of his life, as it aids absorption in dogs who are suffering from kidney disease. Purchasing it from my vet from now until he passes would be quiet expensive. Thankfully I did an internet search to see if I could get it cheaper and it popped up on Amazon for a very reasonable price in quite a large bottle. The size of the bottle I was getting from my vet office was very small and we were blowing thru it very quickly. The item arrived quickly, it was tightly sealed for safety purposes, and I'm very pleased with this purchase.

It is mint flavored, so I had to get creative in hiding it in her food. I ended up putting the measures amount onto a piece of bread, and my dog gobbled it up. It helped keep her kidney values down in combination with other medications. This shipped quickly and well packaged. I recommend.

Thank God someone makes still make a liquid for of Alpha Hydroxy gel. When Alternagel was pulled from the market, none of the alternatives were suitable for doggies. This one is safe (although the mint flavor not something they like). This product is also very useful as a phosphorus binder for pets with kidney disease. And while it sucks to have to do it, sometimes the meds have to be liquid to be administered via oral syringe. Works great for human upset tummies also. Good to keep on hand.
