I’m really happy with this straightener. The wide plates make styling quicker and easier, especially when working with more hair. It heats up quickly and leaves my hair looking smooth, straight and shiny. It’s easy to use and gives great results without having to go over each section too many times. Definitely a good purchase.

This Remington Shine Therapy straightener is brilliant and I use it all the time. It heats up really fast and glides through my hair smoothly without pulling or snagging at all. It leaves my hair looking sleek and shiny rather than dry or frizzy thanks to the conditioning plates. It heats up to just the right temperature and holds it steady so I get a nice even finish every time. It is light and easy to hold and the long cord makes it simple to use wherever I am. It is such good quality for the price and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants smooth healthy looking hair.

This is my first entry into hair straighteners. I have long straight hair but recent encroaching grey hair has made my hair wavy & difficult to blow dry. Works well & heats up quickly. It has lost one star because, like many things, it's designed for right-handers. I've had to use it upsidedown (the black side upwards) to avoid accidentally pressing the heat buttons. A solid product & great value, especially for someone new to straighteners. It would be great if it came with a heat pad to rest it on during use but I've used a small oven pad.

I got this Remington Shine Therapy Straightener / Styler on offer, so it was a bargain. I’ve used GHDs since 2002, having tried pretty much every model since it started. My current GHD is the platinum + model, and I have also tried their newest model, the Chronos, but I can honestly say that this Remington Shine Therapy straightener works better on my hair, straightening and curling it more quickly.I have naturally wavy/ fluffy hair, which is quite fine but there’s a lot of it. It goes very frizzy as soon as there’s a bit of drizzle/humidity and I can never blow dry it anywhere near straight. When it fluffs up, it looks like a lion’s mane.I’ve only been using these for a few days, but am blown away by how great they are. The plates are also longer than ghds, which I find makes them easier to curl/wave with, and quicker to straighten with.When switched on, they heat up quickly, though the temperature display seems to flash for a couple of minutes (I haven’t timed it), which I believe indicates they are still heating up. However, I feel they work great even when the display is still flashing. When they switch on, they default to 190 degrees, so if you want them cooler or hotter, you just need to adjust with the buttons. I find 190 to be perfect for my hair, though I haven’t tried it cooler.It glides through my hair so easily. I can’t believe how quickly and effectively it straightens my hair; it has never felt softer or looked healthier. It’s great at curling/waving too, producing long lasting waves for a natural beachy look.There’s a button to lock the plates closed when not in use. This is a great idea but I do sometimes find it a little stiff so I tend not to use it. It’s not something that’s featured on any of my ghds before, so I will probably just continue to use the silicone sleeve I have from my ghd platinums, which holds the styler closed.If I straighten my hair with this, it remains pretty straight until I wash it again (sometimes just needing a straightening top up if it’s been tied in a ponytail. I needed to straighten my hair daily with my GHDs regardless of whether it was a hair wash day or not.The results are so much better with this than my ghds. I should also state that I have used cloud 9s too, which I didn’t think were that great.I can honestly say that this is the best straightener/styler I have ever used. I think I’d just assumed that no one would ever make anything anywhere near as good as ghds but I suppose 20+ years have passed since GHD infiltrated the market.Before spending loads of money on a top of the range one, give this a try, especially if it’s on offer. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.Edit: I’m now nearly 8 weeks in, and my hair still loves this straightener. I wondered if the honeymoon period would wear off, but it hasn’t! And the best of it is, I haven’t had to do anything to my hair (other than brush it) since I washed it (and blow dried and straightened it) two days ago. That was unheard of before I owned this :)Edit: May 2025. It’s almost 11 months since I purchased this and I still stand by how amazing it is. The condition of my hair is the best it’s ever been. I don’t need to re straighten or wave my hair every day like I did with my GHDs; it stays straight or wavy (however I have styled it) until it’s washed again. And the condition of my hair after washing and drying is much better than it’s ever been. My hairdresser has noticed a huge improvement in my hair too.

These are incredible. One pass and straight, I only had them on 200, so not the highest setting. The wider plate makes it easier on my shoulder length fine hair. I'd recommend these to anyone. I did this on an evening, next morning, still straight.

Amazing set of straighteners.I’ve always been a GHD girl, but mine got the red ring, I needed a quick set to just be delivered. These were on next day delivery with amazing reviews.I was sceptical as I have extremely thick long hair, that kinks within about 10 mins, I ordered the bigger size plates.Turned up the next day in time for me to go out. And I can honestly say WOW these are amazing, my hair feels super smooth, looks so shiny and best of all stayed dead straight all night.I even went to bed and woke up and it was still looking good, could’ve definitely have left my house and gone out without doing anything with it.These are the best straightening irons I’ve used on my hair. Would recommend to anyone!

Excellent. Bought this to replace my GHD, which gave up after 15yrs of hard labour (RIP). Superb value for money. Adjustable temperature is an improvement on the GHD.

J'avais dû mal à croire aux 2 passages uniques pour lisser. Et bien c'est véridique. Tout ça à 190º.Sans brushing, au sèche-cheveux, c'est Jackson 5 direct donc il me fallait un lisseur qui fasse le taff surtout sur cheveux frisés et sans les rendre encore plus secs.Et bien il lisse au point d'avoir des baguettes si je fais 2 passages ou si j'augmente la température.Souhaitant avoir une belle longueur mais ne les voyant pas pousser, boucles oblige, je voulais les lisser pour ne pas perdre espoir et recouper pour un carré mais surtout ne pas y passer 1h à chaque lissage. C'est chose faite avec ce lisseur. Gain de temps incroyable.D'autre part, j'ai les cheveux blancs naturels qui jaunissent à cause de la chaleur. Mon ancien lisseur du moyen-âge ne chauffait plus assez donc je devais faire 1000 passages sans effet lissé souhaité et le cheveu redevenait jaune clair alors qu'il venait d'être soigné justement pour enlever ces vilains reflets.Ce que j'ai toujours trouvé moche avec le lisseur, ce sont les pointes ultra raides et sèches qui trahissaient un cheveu bouclé. Et bien ce n'est pas le cas avec ce lisseur et surtouuuut, il vient à bout des bouclettes de baby cheveux autour du visage, impossibles à lisser car courts et rebelles.Pas besoin de claquer 3 smics pour un lisseur. Des soins, c'est la base!
