Love this! I live in metro Atlanta and am able to pick up 71 free channels with this antenna including all 4 major networks, PBS, a couple of western channels, Hispanic channels, a Sci-Fi station, a few stations running re-runs and some Christian and shopping channels. It was easy to install and scan through my Roku tv, as you can see in the photo I have it binder-clipped to the plate covering my venetian blinds. It's best high up, and near a windows facing in the direction you know where your local towers are broadcasting the digital signal. Picture and sound quality are great, and it didn't flicker during a recent thunderstorm, I highly recommend this antenna!

I recently jettisoned my pay TV (and am not missing it: I noticed I hardly ever turned it on) so I decided to replace it with indoor antennas. After a fair amount of research, it was this product which I found had the most consistently high scores near the top of rankings online, so I replaced the phenomenally expensive cable service with two of these antennas. They are not infallible, but after experimenting with their placements, they are close to being totally consistent in bringing in local broadcast channels, and in the large media market I am in, there are tons of choices. As far as the content of this switch compared to cable, what they have in common is that they both have tons of channels which I never watched for even a minute. With this change, I am no longer paying not to watch hundreds of channels. The largest TV in my house is in an interior room and the antenna picks up all of the available channels in the metro area with few glitches. I have found that the quality of the picture for PBS, ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox is either the same or better than it was with pay TV. This is an excellent product which does what it says it will do.

First of all, it is exactly as described. Plugged into the TV no problem, had no issues scanning for local channels. But as you might expect, it did not initially find all the available channels in my area. The ones it did find came in very clearly, as good as cable TV. But it's an antenna, and the performance is dependent on placement of the antenna. In my initial trial it found about 50% of the channels I know are available over the air in my location. The instructions provide a website to help you know what channels are available in your area and at what strength of signal. That's how I know it found only some of them. I will continue to play with it and adjust the orientation to get better reception.

I live in a close-in suburb to Washington, DC and purchased a "triple bundle" from Xfinity about 5 years ago -- internet, landline phone, and a mix of TV stations off a menu (I chose "TV light," which was mostly local to my area). I had a three-year contract and made the mistake of not going back to see what services I needed and what they would cost. I did see my bill going up and up, and recently, it was about to hit $210 from $120 when I first purchased it. I looked carefully at my new bill and saw that the TV part was costing me nearly $80 a month, including a $12-a-month rental for the TV box. The bottom line is that I realized I could get rid of the TV option in my service bundle and simply use this antenna to get local stations and (if I cared to) purchase premium channels (which I don't need) on my own as streaming. So, after dropping the TV option from my "bundle", I find myself about $80 a month ahead with perfectly fine reception through this antenna for my local channels - $35 very well spent!! The only additional expense that came was $10 for 25 feet of coax cable - needed more than the 10 feet that came with the antenna to put it closer to a window to get a better signal. Other than too long a time on the phone waiting to reach a real person at Xfinity, switching over to the antenna took maybe an hour total - some time scanning channels on my Fire TV and some time attaching it and finding a good spot to mount it (product documentation gives you a website to locate nearby broadcast towers). A plus of the antenna is that it is white on one side, and black on the other - I ended up mounting it with the included adhesive blocks so that most of the cable was behind a bookcase and the white side of the antenna was high on a (white) wall - not overly conspicuous at all. This was a great product for my situation - I REALLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE CHECK OUT OPTIONS FOR WIRECUTTING AND USE ITEMS LIKE THIS AND VARIOUS STREAMING SERVICES TO DROP OVERPRICED TV SERVICES FROM PROViDER BUNDLES. I highly recommend this antenna as a good place to start if you are in an area with TV broadcast towers nearby. PS I am using this without amplification - not needed in this metro area.

Works fine for UHF. If you are in an area that still has stations broadcasting in the high VHF band, this is useless. To get your VHF stations you either want to get a different antenna that is designed for both UHF and high VHF, or if you already have one of these FLATennas an alternative fix is to add a UVSJ (UHF/VHF Splitter/Joiner) and a set of rabbit ears. I'm amazed that none of the reviews that I read mentioned this shortcoming, although it's very possible that the people that were happy with it just didn't have any High VHF stations in their area. Also please be aware that this antenna is highly directional. The direction you point it in is extremely important in terms of which channels you will get. Please refer to a website such as the FCC DTV reception Maps for additional assistance in this regard.

I previously purchased a more expensive indoor antenna, but found it would often drop signals when weather was poor. I decided to try the Channel Master instead. Problem solved! No more dropped signals. I secured the antenna to the inside of my home office window (second floor close to where my old indoor antenna had sat) and now enjoy every local station that carries the major TV networks and many independent stations as well. Most of the broadcast antennas are ten miles or more from my house across flat terrain. No amplifier needed. The claimed "range" of most TV antennas is just absurd, so ignore those claims. But this antenna is quite adequate for a suburban location.

Excellent antenna, amazing information that I wish I had before I bought and got frustrated with the other 3 antennas 😂 The instructions were simple but the flip side about antennas in general were gold. These are pretty simple to install and hang, but you have to give it the best chance at good reception first. They have a site you can look at to determine where your broadcasters are clustered and which direction the channels you want are located. The size of the antenna is great plus it comes with a white or black side to blend with your situation. The picture quality is excellent and the range is around 35 miles. I learned that longer ranges don’t matter - it’s just marketing hype. Give this one a try….

The other night my cable/internet carrier had an outage during the World Series! I had to listen to the rest of the game on the radio. The next night, the cable company had ANOTHER outage during the next World Series game and again I was forced to listen to the rest of the game on the radio. I went online the next morning and found some lists of the best indoor TV antennas. Up until now I've now had any luck with them at all. The Channel Master FLATenna was #1 on one of the lists and at $35 I decided to give it a try. This model has no additional power source. It's just a legal size paper sized flat surface with a cable you attach to the bottom and then to the antenna output in back of any TV (yes, even the 2025 flagship smart TV's have 'em). After attaching both ends of the cable and then putting the flat sheet antenna on the wall behind my TV, I turned the set on and found the correct things to click to automatically "find" all of the over the air TV signals this antenna could detect. I now have quite a lot of channels including all of the local network stations (CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX) along with quite a few others and I have to say; the picture is AMAZING!!! This antenna just pulls them all in. I'm pretty near a major city so I don't know how well this antenna would work for people living in out of the way places but I have to say, I am SUPER impressed by the ease of setting this up and by the quality of the signal. No longer will I have to be subjected to various intermittent failures of my cable company's signal. Yes, I'm keeping the provider BUT this antenna has given me a failsafe backup in case of future signal failures, which WILL occur. I cannot be happier with my purchase. This is a great indoor TV antenna for a back up OR if you don't wish to spend on cable any longer, it provides excellent display quality if not the vast array of cable stations a carrier offers. I'm going to watch the rest of the World Series using THIS over the air connection just in case. The picture quality is so good there's no reason not to and only a total power outage will ruin my enjoyment of the series. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Channel Master FLATenna!!!

Very good reception but you may need to try several locations to receive best results

Bought this to replace a cheaper flat antenna and it works much better. It's plucking up more channels and has improved some previously iffy channels. I bought this because i read that cable thickness is important. Most of these kind of things have a thin cable, but this one had a thick cable which allegedly is better. I put this in a window and works fine. I did have to buy a converter to plug it into the tv which was disappointing but they are cheap. Beyond that its easy to install. Plug and play. Overall pleased.

You can attach the antennae to a window or on the outside wall. Both work equally well. First I tried it by itself. I could get 1 or 2 channels. Then I tried adding a used Channel Master Amplifier - CM 0747. I got over 30 channels. Then I added a used Channel Master preamplifier - CM 7778 - before the amplifier. 41 channels ! During the day not as many channels, but at night and during rainy weather I get almost all of them. The picture on high def. channels is amazing ! Standard def. is good. I live in Oshawa, Ont. The only channel I can not get is Hamilton. I get all the Toronto and Buffalo stations. I got rid of the TV service and subscribe to only an internet service now. p.s. get an Amazon Firestick if you want more speciality TV channels
