UPDATED on August 2, 2023. Yay!! Glass jar arrived safely in my Subscribe and Save carton shipped with U.S.P.S. and 11 other items this month! Thrilled that Amazon heard me regarding the need for sturdier box for several of the items that arrived in horrible conditions in previous order. Thank you!! Why I purchased this: I've been searching for the past year for real cinnamon that wasn't a mix of cassia types that most Americans think is how cinnamon is supposed to taste. The Saigon, Vietnamese cassia types taste like the red hots candy. Spicy with a kick of peppery sweetness and orange red in color, slightly more coarse in texture and is quite tasty. Unfortunately, it is loaded with coumarin that is known to damage your kidneys, doesn't lower blood sugar and is not safe to eat more than a 1/4 of a teaspoon daily which is fine if all you want is a few sprinkles on your pear, or to flavor your cup of tea or coffee. However, I'm in my 70s and have fragile health and inflammation so I need to avoid cassia cinnamon completely as I eat much more of this daily than is safe. Now, on to the pros and cons of this specific True Cinnamon product that I was so excited to find. Pro and Con: The Seller has an excellent product, but the poor packaging (virtually none) shattered the glass and needs to be changed to a food safe paper bag so it can be shipped safely. I had to request a refund from Amazon and they took responsibility for the packaging. I would buy 4 or 5 packages at a time if the Seller would ship it themselves with tons of bubble wrap, and in a sturdy carton with even more bubble wrap to survive the rough handling of delivery drivers. A Kraft food safe type bag that I could transfer into my own glass container once it arrived would solve this problem. I know it's twice the price of the cassia and the former Sri Lanka Diyesta brand that used to be sold on Amazon in 1 pound Kraft bags with a zip-lock closing that always needed to be transferred to a better glass container because it wouldn't reseal well. Unfortunately, it appears that they are no longer in business and believe me, I've searched the world for anyone who still had packages of this still available. The family owned business since 1936 just couldn't compete with the bigger companies during COVID and it is our loss. I strained the WAAYB Organic Ceylon Cinnamon powdery cinnamon through a fine metal mesh to attempt to remove the shards of glass so that I could taste it. It took about an hour to gather about one Tablespoon that I felt was likely safe enough to ingest, but it was worth it to attempt what I was sure was the real deal by the color, aroma, and floral fine texture that is the hallmark of cinnamon verum. It's THAT good! I can't praise this product enough because it's the REAL DEAL and I sincerely hope the One Farm by WAAYB Organic Ceylon Cinnamon, Single Estate, Freshly Ground Premium Sri Lanka Cinnamon, Non-GMO, Fair-Trade & Gluten Free in Resealable Jar responds to my suggestions because their product is so worth it to me and it is everything I had hoped it would be. This would be worth 10 Granny Gems if it arrived in usable condition to my door! I don't give those gems out to very many things I purchase, and if you read my reviews you will see that a regular Amazon rating of 1 to 5 stars is my usual. I hope my review makes it easier to decide which type of cinnamon you need and/or prefer.

Very nice, quality cinnamon. More mild than the commonly found store-bought version, smooth rather than sharp flavor. Will definitely buy this again. The jars are glass and were well packaged, no worries about them breaking during shipment. Completely satisfied with the seller.

I have now had my first encounter with One Farm organic Ceylon cinnamon. It was actually great to taste and I felt overall better after ingesting it. Not all cinnamon is Ceylon or is grown in Sri Lanka that has the greatest reputation for quality. This cinnamon product literature had the highest stated factors in presenting its qualities including farmed in Sri Lanka from one reliable organic source. It was quite a wonderful flavor but not overpowering or weak. And the crop is tested for any heavy metals including lead which seems to be a bit of trend growing in other areas and countries.Surprising it mixed well with liquids as the other cinnamons tried thru out my life seemed to resist this blending. I would most certainly buy and trust this cinnamon for my health and enjoyment in the future as I definitely think highly of it. Thanks *****!!!
