I have now had the SJCAM SJ8 pro for 8 days now and gotten used to the settings & so forth. I am absolutely blown away with the footage from this little camera. At 4K 30fps I can have the 6 axis gyro & fish eye (distortion) removal switched in. This is a first on any action camera to date, not even the GoPro hero 6 black can do this. The gyro works exceptionally well, holding the camera in my hand whilst walking you can not tell that your not using a gimbal, it is absolutely buttery smooth, I have 3 GoPro and 5 SJCAM action cams in my Collection. I also have Yi cameras too, in my opinion for what it is worth, the SJ8 Pro is the best of the bunch, I absolutely love it. The display is super bright and crisp, 4K footage looks fantastic, the menus are simple & intuitive, the app although it’s for all SJ cams past and present works fine, great for setting the menu’s up & downloading videos from the camera to your smart phone..I can absolutely hand on heart recommend the SJ8Pro, take a little time to get the settings set up and you will be rewarded with great footage & photos.. If SJCAM had made this camera waterproof with out a case then this would of truly been a GoPro killer, take note SJCAM. Now we just need some optional extras, like spare batteries and a mini desktop charger, none of these were available when I bought it & to date still not available , the battery does last quite a long time even when recording in 4K 60fps, the best battery life so far in any action camera on the market.. We could also do with some toughened glass screen protectors to give some added protection if the camera is accidentally dropped..I will update further after a few weeks of use, so watch this space..This short & totally unprofessional review was not done in return for any perks, I paid full price and I am NOT a paid for reviewer, so this is a totally unbiased review .. I very highly recommend the SJ8 pro, you will not be disappointed if your results are the same as mine, take time to get used to it and play with the settings, it will reward you highly..

Hi. I have a problem with the sjcam 8pro I ordered from you in May 2019. I have used it max 3 times in this period and only for urban bike riding. (I still have the screen saver foil on it.) Anyway, I wanted to use it now and as I placed the battery in the cage this small part came out from the cage (as you can see in the photo).I was wondering how it could happen when I have not even use the cam in any extreme situation. What could happen with it if it had those??And of course, it is not working now. So I am curious if you have any service for this? I do not want to throw it away because of this and I would like to still use it.

Got quite a bit of sjcam equipment and it is very good for the price, but to be honest the sj8 pro doesn't seem to take video any better than my sj6 legend, but for what you pay you get very good cameras.

The videos don't play on TV unfortunately.

If you want a decent camera, and don’t want to spend soo much on GoPro, SJCAM is the way to go! Picture quality is not what GoPro offers but it is still very good! Very good product! I am not a specialist in the field of action cameras but this one is great, I am happy with it!

This is a great camera with one huge flaw. I have had three of them. With two the front display didn't work at all, on the other one it only worked for a few days. I upgraded to the latest firmware and factory reset with each camera, but still no Front Display and yes I had turned it on in settings.

Purchased as an alternative to a Gopro, however I had to return it.Used it to shoot a couple of test videos, but never found out how good they were, as the WiFi refused to work. 5ghz WiFi didn't show up, I believe that's to do with the channel or band that use, which won't work in certain parts of Europe (same as gopro) the 2.4ghz, just gave me the error "failed to connect" and nothing else.The unit was returned and refunded. This is my 2nd SJCam over the years and the 1st one was sent back with a fault too.I purchased a Hero 6 black in the end
