Item arrived on date promised, even though we live on Hawaii Island. Many items arrive later than the promised delivery date.

First I want to say I have been using oster brand horse clippers for years but the last two didn’t hold up long enough to pay for themselves. I used my horse clippers for horses and our dogs I changed blades for each. These had great reviews so I gave them a chance the only con so far is they are so big and heavy. They blade is almost twice as wide as my oster horse clippers. This is good on horses and bigger path for each cut but for my dogs like on legs and paws they are ridiculously large and hard to get the angles easily. When you turn them on the highest setting it sounds like a weedeater! Ok maybe I’m exaggerating but not by much they are loud and sound powerful. On low they are much quieter so That’s where they stay. I however can’t deduct a star because of this grip because after all they are horse clippers and for that they are great if you have the strength to hold them for that long. I will still have to buy another pair strictly for my dog which was nice to have both together. I will update if they don’t last or other issues arise. They include extra motor brushes which is nice because usually when the motor stops working on these things it’s the brushes which are easy to change but all but impossible to find replacements for many clippers. So for them to be included is a nice idea. They also include a EMPTY oil bottle. Would be great to have had oil but I suspect it had something to do with shipping them from overseas to the us is why they couldn’t include it. Only guessing but I can think of no other reason. Just know before ordering this thing is huge compared to most clippers I’ve seen horse or dog. long, wide and heavy which could be good or bad depending on what you need. Hope this helps.

I live in Alabama and own a Gypsy Vanner. It’s not unusual to have 80 degree days here in March, long before his 3” long winter coat sheds out. I have been leery of spending $300+ on clippers I need once a year, so I bought these based on the reviews. They were AMAZING on him. I have never body clipped a whole horse in my life, and this 1,200 pound horse was done in an hour!!! The clippers are loud and heavy, but from what I can tell no worse than others like this. They went through his thick coat like a hot knife through butter. He was bathed/dried first. I used baby oil to lube. They never got super hot. I look forward to clipping our wooly mini horse next. These took a dreaded chore to easy very quickly. Yay!

Work well with thick hair. Clippers are a bit heavy and require cooling off after about 10 min of use.

Sharp blade, a little noisy but not that bad. Did get warm after about 15 mins but my arms needed a break anyway

These clippers do cut thru hair at first like butter but they overheat fast. When you break them down to swap blades, get ready to account for mutiple pieces. The blades also get dull FAST. they need to simplify swapping the blades out if they are gonna overheat like they do. I ordered 2 extra blades and still couldn’t finish my pony who is 14.3 hands. dave your money and hire a professional. it would have been cheaper for me to have someone clip him than it was to pay for the extra blades and aggravation. I literally had to swap the blades out every 3 minutes. do not recommend. pay someone to clip your horse

Purchased this clipper last year to cut my 5 miniature horses winter coats in the spring. Minis typically grow a heavy thick coat and do not shed out like a full size horse. Regular clippers make the work a real chore. I was thrilled with has fast and clean the Takekit Clipper groomed up my 5 minis. Also, they are lighter weight than my old Osters which makes the job much easier. I like to brush the hair off and any dirt as I go, then brush off the blades, dip them in blade wash, wip off and put a drop of oil on each side of the blade set at the teeth. They run so smooth and not as noisy as the old big clippers. Love the custom molded case that came with the clippers...keeps it safe, clean and dry in between use. Note: if you are trying to clip a horse with cushings disease, these are a good choice.

Works great! They are not quiet, but horses don't seem to mind the noise. Clipped my Cushings horse without having to change the blade!

Used these today on a horse clip, and they work amazing! No clipper lines, efficient clip! Make sure you have clipper cooling spray, oil and clipper cleaning oil as well as you work - it makes a huge difference! I think from seeing my horses clip other people at the barn may purchase the same ones! These do not work for the clip lines, if you are doing those on a horse, I had to use smaller ones for that, but to cover larger areas more efficiently they were fantastic. They are noisy so make sure your horse is ok with noise, but mine was 100% fine with it.

Prior to purchasing, I looked at all the other reviews and they seemed very positive. I have never owned clippers and never clipped a horse. Although these are large, they did a fantastic job on my horse and my Shetland. It was a little hard getting into the smaller areas like under the jaw and in the armpits, but I imagine if you were clipping because of a show you would have smaller clippers to get into those areas anyways. These are very easy to use for somebody with no experience. Highly recommended.

These did what I wanted them to do. Loud, but my horse was rock solid once he understood they were clippers just like the smaller ones. Clipped an unbathed (just hot towels and brushed) coat with ease. Blades heat up quickly even with cooling spray used frequently. I took breaks and exchanged for my small clippers for tidying up and around elbow etc. These were within my budget and I am totally happy so long as they do the same job next spring.

THESE ARE EXTREMELY AWESOME, GOOD, DOES THE JOB VERY PROFESSIONALLY LIKE PET SMART AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY A TON FOR A JOB VERY WELL DONE WITH THESE CLIPPERS. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS MY HUSBAND JUST SHAVED OUR DOG ARLO YESTERDAY WITH IT AND WE WERE BLOWN AWAY WITH THE RESULTS, HE WAS VERY, VERY HAPPY WITH THEM SO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A REALLY STURDY AND NOT JUST A GOOD CLIPPER BUT AWESOME CAUSE YOU WOULD BE HAPPY WHEN THE JOB IS DONE, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE CLIPPERS. ALSO BOUGHT IT AFTER READING ALL THE REVIEWS.
