When I decided to upgrade the factory speakers in my car, I knew I wanted something that struck a good balance between clear sound quality, solid build, and great value. After installing the PIONEER F-Series TS-F1634R 6.5” 2-Way Speakers, I can say they’ve exceeded what I expected for the price point. Right out of the box, these speakers feel well built — not flimsy like some budget replacements I’ve owned in the past. Installation was straightforward with factory speaker mounts in my vehicle, and they fit perfectly without any modification. The mounting hardware included gets the job done and the spring-clip terminals made connecting them to the existing wiring easy. Once I hit play, I was genuinely impressed. These aren’t “audiophile” speakers, but for everyday listening they’re crisp, balanced, and punchy. The tweeters add a nice touch of clarity to vocals and higher frequencies, while the 6.5” woofer handles midrange and bass with more authority than I expected. They definitely perform better than standard OEM speakers — vocals sound less muffled, instruments are better separated, and overall music feels more alive. If you enjoy a broad mix of genres like rock, hip-hop, pop, and podcasts, these speakers handle them well. Even with the volume turned up on highway drives, the Pioneer F-Series speakers stayed clean and distortion-free. The bass isn’t booming like a subwoofer, but in a set of component car speakers this size, the low end is surprisingly respectable — especially compared to many entry-level factory replacements. Where these speakers really shine is the bang for your buck. You’re not paying premium audio prices, yet you get noticeable clarity improvements and an overall performance boost that makes everyday listening more enjoyable. For anyone wanting an upgrade without spending big on amps or door tweaks, this set is a solid pick. Great budget speakers if you simply want a basic upgrade over your old factory speakers. They fit into my 2008 nissan frontier with no trouble at all, mounting holes were in the exact position as the factory speakers. Got lazy and took the easy way out with Metra wire connectors instead of splicing myself. I had both front doors disassembled, speakers installed, and reassembled in 35 minutes. They sound great, no more cutting out due to a bad connection. And I can turn them a bit louder now than the factory ones. They actually sound much better than the factory ones, you most definitely hear more detail in the music, much clearer. And for the price you can't beat it. If you can tell good sound from bad then you may want something a little pricier, but for my needs these were perfect.

If you want brand speakers that are easy to install and sound amazing on a budget, the Pioneer F Series is the way to go. I did had to modify my factory speaker housing to accommodate the new speakers but not a big deal, just drilled 4 tiny holes to fit the screws that hold them together as you can see in the pictures. Sound quality 10 out of 10 considering the price point and even better if you combine them with a Pioneer stereo.

These were sold by Amazon Warehouse as used, but I think they could have been listed as new, open box. They just appeared to be repackaged, never installed or used. They even included pieces of the original box with part numbers and product specifications. As for the speakers themselves, they are the cheapest Pioneer 6 x 9's I could find, so my expectations were low. They sound ok. Don't expect miracles. They have smallish magnets and thin, foam surrounds (think to-go container thickness) that feel like they would puncture easily. Take extra care when screwing on the "covers." The covers, as shown in the pictures, are just to protect the speakers from large items impacting them. They will not offer protection from even a shoe if these are going to be installed low in a door. The sound quality is fair. Don't expect studio quality or extreme bass and you'll be ok with these. I'm powering them with a mid to low end aftermarket head unit and will not approach their max power handling in any way. Installed them on the parcel shelf behind the seats in an NA Miata in some 6x9 boxes. Road and wind noise would drown out any high quality stereo benefits, so I settled for these. I just wanted something to replace the old, desentigrating, in-headrest speakers to augment the door panel speakers. No complaints at all for my expectations and use case. Your installation and desired sound quality may be different.

these speakers are pretty good for the price and sound great. at first I had my doubts while listening to local stations but once I hooked the phone up to the OEM radio the sounds was way better. i put these in my daughters 09 Toyota Venza that still has the OEM head unit. this vehicle has 6X9's in the front doors which sound great. not sure how well it would handle an aftermarket head unit though.. aldo had to get some mountign brackets.

We got these a couple weeks ago, everything came in the box nice and neat installed these in the Stone bar of my 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I had to customize the holes to fit 6 x 9 speakers got them installed. They look great. They sound even better even in high levels, they don’t rattle. I believe Pioneers figure has always been very reliable. They push a lot of power connecting them to my existing speaker. Wires are very easy with the parts that they came with.

Good treble but not so happy with the mids and bass

Put these in my 08 Honda CR-V that had some blown speakers and these are a great upgrade for the price. Nothing crazy but for $30/pair, I wasn’t expecting crazy. They sound find and do the job for a reasonable price- not much more you can ask for.

Nice set of speakers. Work really well in my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. Nice sound out of it. I was a little worried as the price was so good. But it's Pioneer. Thank goodness the quality is still there. Good stuff.
