Lanparte Wireless Lanc Controller for Sony and Blackmagic Cameras

Simple but effective. I was not expecting this to be made out of aluminum. A couple of minor gripes. I wish the trigger button had some sort of mechanism to prevent accidental triggering. Maybe of it were recessed into the housing or something. Other than accidentally recording when you don't want to, you have to be careful how you store this as well. Simply tossing this into a camera bag could potentially run the battery down if it is resting against the button. The other would be if they included a cable that was angle plug on one side and straight plug on the other. The angle plug doesn't have enough clearance when you are using a camera cage so the lanc cable has to sit inside the channel cut out for other plugs. In my case I can't monitor audio from the camera. I know this is not a problem with this device - I can source my own cable that will work for this. Just a little weird that they had the forethought to include a little 15mm rail mount for the trigger to attach to a camera rig, but not enough forethought think that said rig would also include a camera cage.

I'm using this for my blackmagic mini ursa pro. I keep the button plugged in and mounted on my top cheese plate and I keep the wireless remote mounted on my movi pro gimbal ring. This makes it easy for me to enable and disable recording quickly when using the gimbal.
