I recently tried the Skull Shaver Pitbull Gold PRO GX5, and it has completely changed my grooming routine. The first thing I noticed is how easy it is to use. Finally found one that looks good, has the power & quality for a good tight cut - it shaves very close to skull. As much as l use it the value for the money is worth it. Easy to clean.

I bought one 8 years ago. Bought a second for my weekend house…works even better than the first one I bought. They have definitely made improvements over what worked really well. And it charges in a flash and holds the charge for a long time. Great Product!!!

I purchased the Pitbull Gold Head Shaver from Amazon on March 31, and unfortunately my experience has been disappointing. For the first few uses, it worked fairly well. It provided a decent shave and was easy to use, but it wasn’t quite as close of a shave as I was hoping for. I still found myself wishing it would leave my head smoother. After only a handful of uses, it developed a very loud, high-pitched squeal. I tried lubricating it with oil as recommended, but that didn’t solve the problem. Another issue I noticed was that if the shaver wasn’t completely dried after use, it would leave rust-colored rings on my bathroom countertop, which was unexpected for a product advertised as waterproof. The final straw came when it accidentally fell about 20 inches from the shower ledge into the shower. The shaving head came apart, and it was surprisingly difficult to reassemble. After that, despite being marketed as waterproof, the shaver began turning on by itself. Eventually, it got stuck in the “on” position and would no longer turn off, making it completely unusable. For the price, I expected much better durability and reliability. It started out promising, but the quality didn’t hold up, and it ultimately ended up in the trash. I can’t recommend it based on my experience.

Does a good job on my skull but not so good on my beard

I give this product 4 stars because I have owned several over the years. This shaver had been a great product for about 10 months. When I was shaving in the shower, which is permitted under the product description and I have done for many years, the other day, all of the sudden the shaver quit working. I noticed that the battery percentage display was blank. I figured the battery had died and I waited until the unit dried and then plugged it into the charger the next day. When I checked it the next day it showed a full 100% charge. I got into the shower with it again and something didn’t sound right. It was a low humming sound. After turning the shaver off and on several times it eventually quit working again and the battery percentage display was blank again. I then proceeded to contact customer support because I knew that the shaver had a one year warranty. When the customer service representative emailed me back and I provided her with more information that they required about when I had made the purchase she responded with my options. These included: returning the unit at my cost through my choice of shippers and letting the company know what shipper I was using and then they would send me a replacement device. This could take several days or weeks. The next option was to purchase directly from the company a new device, I say this twice because from the sound of it it was just the motorized part of the product. Under this warranty option I could pay anywhere from $44.99 to $120.00 plus shipping and just keep the old devise that was not any good anymore and the warranty would start over for the new device once the invoice was paid in full. Not to mention the device would not be shipped until the invoice was paid so at the very least there would be a few days off of the new warranty while the device was in transit. The third option was to order a new device and pay anywhere invoice through the company, when I received the replacement and sent back the faulty device, once the faulty device was received I would receive a refund for the new device but the warranty on the new device would revert to the date of my original purchase. None of these options seemed very customer friendly. Needless to say I emailed the representative back and told her that I understood that none of this was her fault but that I was very disappointed in the Pit Bull company and that due to this lack of customer care I would be purchasing a different brand from now on. Businesses operating like this, without concern for their customers and shady tactics like poor warranty fulfillment is in my opinion part of the problem that we have in our country. As long as large companies like this are allowed to continue these deceptive practices the consumer will be the on getting the short end of the stick.

This product exceeded my expectations. The motor runs quietly, and the shave is clean, quick, and completely free of nicks or irritation. Having used razors for years, the difference is remarkable. The device feels great in the hand and is very easy to control. I’m genuinely pleased with this purchase and look forward to using it in the months ahead. Also impressed with Amazon's service quality - delivered to the Philippines within a week, ahead of the promised date of delivery.

My husband ordered this because he decided to go bald. He loves it. I tested it out on my arm hair and was really surprised how smooth it glides and no pain. If my husband loves it then you need to buy it. He said it holds a charge along time.

ive always relied on my lodger to finish off my hair with clippers after id got most of it..i decided to give the pitbull shaver a punt so i could shave my hair as and when i wanted. Well i was definately not disappointed..i shaved my head using the pitbull...it took around 5 mins and apart from a couple of spots it did a fantastic job..i just went over what i had missed and hey presto job done...still had 93% battery life which is insane !!! cleaning the unit was an absolute breeze...i tapped out most of the hair then ran the blades and just the part where the blades attach to the main unit under the tap...left both to dry then simply reassembled the unit..The shave....the shaving was incredibly easy to do and gave me a barely stubbled head all over...its a tad expensive but if you are looking for a brilliant easy to use shaver which does as well as you would get at the barbers you wont go wrong with this model...Quick update...ive shaved my head around 7 or 8 times now....battery still on 82% which again is insane ....Also forgot to mention....when i used to use the clippers there was always hair to hoover up off the carpet...now im constantly keeping my hair short using the Pitbull headshaver...a simple rinse of the blades under the tap...hair gone....job done!!! Im willing to bet im one of dozens of satisfied customers who...after shaving..constantly feel your head every hour or so thinking ....that did a great job!!!
