5 stars — Perfect first phone for kids As my child is not ready yet for a smartphone, this Artfone G3 Flip Phone Unlocked keeps him safe and in touch while in school. The big buttons and clear sound make calling me easy, and there’s no internet or apps to distract him in class. For the quality and cost, this is the best purchase we’ve made, it’s lightweight, battery lasts all week, and tough enough for his backpack. It added a lot of peace of mind to my day knowing he can reach me if needed. No membership or monthly bills, no window on the unsafe digital world: total peace of mind!

It is working good enough for my purposes. I am having some problems getting my voice mail enacted. I do not know why. As far as I know I may not even have access on this phone. Will be talking again to my carrier soon about this, because there is no mention in the documentation sent with the phone regarding voice mail..

I got this as a back-up/Emergency phone for our home. The charging base is convenient, it gets -very- loud (if you want it to,) and it works great with a T-mobile nano SIM. The plastic of the phone, itself feels very... cheap... Even with the battery in it, the whole phone feels like a child's toy. I don't know if I would expect to fare well if carried around and used daily. It was a bit tricky to figure out the typing for entering contacts but I found that the Star (*) key gives you punctuation and the Pound/Hashtag (#) key gives you different typing options. The default typing feature is a weird (for me) predictive text that tries to guess what word you're typing by hitting each, corresponding key once. I, personally, prefer pressing the Pound/Hashtag (#) key and selecting "Abc" which allows me to use the "Multi-tap" method for entering individual letters manually. Thankfully, it saves your selected typing method, too. Overall, I'm really happy with this phone. It does exactly what I need to it do and not a lot more: Make/receive phone calls.

Unfortunately, the phone developed a critical defect after only two months of normal use: • The volume and ringer completely stopped working, regardless of settings. • I purchased a second unit as a replacement, and it experienced the same failure within days. This indicates a systemic product defect, not misuse or accidental damage. They should be covered by the two-year warranty, but there’s no way to get hold of them. I tried reaching out to artfone but they have not responded.

It’s OK. I was looking for a flip phone for my 94-year-old mother. I want something very simple. This one is still more complicated than most of what she can deal with, unfortunately. The cradle for charging works, but you have to have the phone aligned just right for the charging light to go on. Unfortunately, sometimes my mom slips it back in and doesn’t have the metal contacts right for charging. I was happy to have a classical music ringtone that isn’t painful or offensive. I don’t know about the battery life, because it’s basically a backup phone that rarely leaves the charging cradle. We made a couple of calls, and the call quality seems OK. Had I looked more closely, I would’ve preferred one that has a time display or something on the front. This does not.

Contacted artfone as my wife took the phone to Italy and had issues getting the proper SIM card installed in the phone. Contacted artfone and they were willing to have a european version of the phone instead of the current US version of the phone sent to her in Italy without returning the US version to them. Artfone also said if things did not work out as my wife is terrible with phones that they would issue a full refund and we could keep the phone without needing to return it. I have communicated with artfone at least three times in regards to this issue and they have responded within a day every time, there customer support is super to say the least and I am blown away how they are willing to refund my money and let me keep the phone if my wife cannot get things figured out with either the US version or if needed the european version which upon my arrival in Italy in a few weeks I will see what can be done with the US version as wife probably purchased a Micro SIM card which is not compatible with this phone, it needs a NANO SIM card, so will look into having the Micro SIM card trimmed down to a NANO SIM card as advised by Artfone, this should resolve all the issues and my wife will be able to use the Artfone successfully as now she is using another phone which has a terrible battery life which she has used the past few years while in Italy, using the Micro SIM card they gave her a few days ago which I plan on taking out of her current phone and having it trimmed down to a NANO SIM card and used in the Artfone which has a excellent battery life. I have been buying masny items on Amazon for years and by far the customer support provided by Artfone is the best I have ever received.

Telefono che acquisto per la terza volta per mia mamma, è molto semplice da impostare, intuitivo, bello da vedere leggero ma nel contempo robusto. Come si può vedere dalle foto sulla schermata esterna si può volendo lasciare visibile ogni volta che si chiude la data l’orario e il giorno della settimana. È dotato anche di fotocamera ma ovviamente sono foto preistoriche. Addirittura è un dual Sim quindi volendo si possono mettere due Sim card.ha anche il vivavoce, si possono assegnare dei contatti a dei numeri di te dei numeri della tastiera a diverse funzioni: radio, sveglia, calendario, calcolatrice, Bluetooth oltre a quelle classiche. Il primo acquistato è morto dopo tanto tempo di utilizzo, il secondo a smesso di funzionare dopo un anno ma ci è stato rimborsato, questo l’abbiamo appena ricomprato perché mia mamma si trova molto bene con questo modello.
