Poor quality materials
Unfortunately these cork gaskets disintegrate rapidly in gasoline. I put them in my carbs, still couldn’t get the engine to start, opened the carbs back up and they had shrunk to almost half their size and were falling apart. Never seen this happen before, especially over the course of less than a week
