I recently decided to try out Cognizin Citicoline to help boost my focus and mental clarity during my busy workdays, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. As someone who's always looking for ways to enhance productivity, this supplement has proven to be a valuable addition to my daily routine. The first day I took this, I experienced a slight headache, but it went away within the hour. I took on work and was able to feel some noticeable improvements in focus. I felt like my thoughts were coming into my head clearer and I was able to solve problems that I was working on when I wasn't on cognizin. The second and third day I took this, I experienced the same focus session that I was looking for. I think this product is good if you are someone who tackles on lots of complex projects and creative thinking. Going to see if this will have any long term benefits. People generally use just one main metrics to rate supplements/nootropics like this citocholine from Nootropics Depot: How did this make me feel? I find this manner of reviewing eatables to be extremely flawed. When you're taking supplements, the only time they would ever make you feel better is if you were previously deficient in it. If you incorrectly diagnosed your deficiency and the product did what it was supposed to do making you feel worse than normal because now you have too much of the supplement in your system, that is NOT the product's fault. The product does NOT deserve a low rating. Unless you know the product quality itself is bad, for instance, you took one brand of X and it helped you but another brand of the same thing made you feel worse, then yeah give the new product a 1 star. Having said that, I suspected I had a choline deficiency but having taken this product a couple times I'm not sure if I do. I have both this and Alpha-GPC from Nootropics Depot. Neither have significantly made me feel better in any way. So I'm not sure if I need extra choline. My experience: Day 1: Super excited to get the bottle and I try half of the pill. I took it apart, poured out half the powder since I wanted a 125mg dosage (the capsules are 250mg). I drank it and felt a buzz in the frontal part of my head. After some time passed I didn't feel any better cognitively and got a mild headache. It went away the next day. This does not seem to be the manufacturer's fault, I feel I was not deficient in choline at all. I posted my experience in r/Nootropics and someone suggested to take an even lower dosage. Day 3: Since choline has a long half life, I decided to skip a day. On day 3 I took a quarter of the pill (~62.5mg) and I barely noticed anything. No effect, but I felt mildly drowsy in the afternoon. That's pretty normal for me on a holiday. After that, I thought that Uridine might be the problem (which CDP choline partly converts into). So I went ahead and bought Alpha-GPC (150mg) capsules. I took 1 in the morning some other day and didn't notice anything. I'm not looking to experiment much with choline now. I'm the kind of person who likes natural food sources of nutrients rather than artificial supplements. If you're a vegetarian like me, try eating more broccoli to get the daily required amount of choline. Otherwise you can eat raw eggs and meat. So to conclude this review, I'm sure this product is of high quality, like all Nootropics Depot products. Even if this product didn't do much for me, that is not a reason to give it a low rating. If you're legitimately low in choline, you can give this a shot. No problems with it. Just make sure to take the correct dose, 250mg per capsule is kind of high.
