Shannon Faux Fur Luxury Shag Caramel, Fabric by the Yard

Used this material for a costume and got rave reviews. Sure, it shed A LOT, but that's to be expected. It never looked worse for wear, despite the shedding, I should add. I'd recommend for anything you need to be furry and colorful. Loved it!

The color is exact to the picture. Fur remained pretty soft, even when shaved. Works fine for fursuits, although I couldn’t shave quite as close to the backing as I can with some furs.If you’re in Canada like me, do not bother with this. It only ships UPS, who are a massive headache and nearly ruined my project by misinforming me of the pickup location (two hours away from me), causing me to miss their hours so I had to waste four of the seven days I had waiting for them to open again. Would not have been an issue if UPS accepted anything other than credit or checks (for customs fees) at the door- I offered debit, Visa debit, Apple Pay and cash. When I asked about cash, the delivery person said, “do I look like I can do cash?” and urged me to hurry up so she wouldn’t get in trouble. I could go on but, it’s getting irrelevant to the product (which is quite nice) and I know I could never fully express my distaste for the “service” that is UPS.

Shannon fabrics is definitely my #1 go to for buying fur for fursuit making its insanely high quality for a really good price 10/10 recommend just keep in mind it is darker then the picture

Great quality, thick with a nice long pile. Bright and clear in color. Pro tip: cut your fur by using a sharp blade on the BACK side of fur, otherwise you'll have quite an irritating mess ( more than usual) on your hands. Have plenty of fresh blades on hand ( I like a snap off safety knife). Attaches well to some things with hot glue, barge cement, or sewing. I made a Lorax out of it! Good stuff.

The color is exactly as described. The fur was very clean and neatly folded when it arrived. It's very soft and cuddly, but be sure to brush it out often so it doesn't look greasy. Luxury shag fur is known for doing that.

Honestly my main issue is I needed and still need more yellow. The fur was the proper yard length long but it was listed as 60" for the width (I only got about 45") I normally don't bother measuring my yards but in this case it visibly looked smaller and I actually really needed the yellow for some work projects.I'm not returning it because I both actually need it and also the quality was stunning - I'm just a bit stressed that I now need to go find an equally quality yellow and buy a full yard extra to make up the difference. Still the fur is wonderfully soft and dense and wasn't kinked through like other shipments I've gotten in the past elsewhere.Great fur, need more though. Hopefully it comes back into stock.

Very soft faux fur with a very nice look to it for the things I wanted to make. I love these soft furs that are fake and are just like this. It totally works with things.

If I ever need more fur I am going to these guys. I checked out there other stuff its great. I've been looking for MONTHS and MONTHS. I can literally say over a year for affordable fur. I thought I was gonna be spending over 200 dollars on fur but not even.(I needed red and black fur too). This was the best and the quality is amazing. Fur isn't falling all over the place like alot of other people complain about. My little sister will look absolutely adorable in her costume this year. Ill be coming back to them for fur purchases.
