All I can say for sure is that we saw a difference very quickly. We have since used it other times my elderly husband's fragile skin has ripped, and this helps the wounds heal quickly and cleanly. It sometimes sticks to the wound, but taking a shower or something like that will soften things so that it comes off easily for changing. All that said, this is a medical product, so you should listen to what your doctor/practitioner says and follow their instructions.
