Alberto Balsam Ultra Strong Gel, 200 ml

I decided to have a go for a quid based on the positive reviews, I can only think that they've been paid got because this stuff is terrible. I've used everything ranging from supermarkets own to high end curly hair gels and this has been the worst by far, absolutely zero hold. I added the same amount again when my hair was semi dry because there was no cast at all meaning my curls would stand no chance of surviving being slept on. Despite using a lot more than with my usual brand the gel left no trace in my hair which will need washing sooner since it's a fluffy frizzy mess, it looks like I've just got out of the sea and left it to dry rather than spending half an hour carefully styling and diffusing it. Negative points: not fit for purpose, you might as well skip the gel entirely. The screw lid is also a nuisance and could easily lead to a spillage if you put it down to work the product into your hair. Positives: hands didn't feel sticky. Washed off my hands easier than my usual gel. Smelled OK and didn't leave much smell on my hair. Very cheap. But for a reason.

This is a really cheap and really strong hair gel - why 1 star? Well it’ll dry your hair out and turn it into straw. It’s almost impossible to get out (unless you use a lot of shampoo) and it takes a few days and a lot of conditioner to get your hair feeling natural.

Poor adhesion, used it twice and now sitting at the back of the cupboard. The price reflects the quality, if you want a stronger hold buy some of the more recognised brands.

Poor, insufficient quality, doesn't do what it's supposed to do. Spend a bit more and get some decent gel! I know it's only £1 but honestly, I wouldn't use it even if it was free.

Reading the recent reviews on here I can only guess aliens came down and replaced the contents of my hair gel with blue slime. Has about as much hold as a bag of baby oil covered in baby oil. Now I don't have long hair but this stuff couldn't hold a hair on an ants back 🐜. Now did I get a bad batch ..... dunno but its not like it used to be . My advice to you folk is Brylcreem hair gel ultra hold, now this stuff would hold 12ft of rupunzles hair straight up !. That's my honest & true review over, thanks for tuning in

It do not like the gel, it drips down the face obviously because it's water and It does not hold your edges well. What a waste of time and money.

Don't understand how this hair gel has so many good reviews. It's awful and wouldn't hold up the hair in my belly button, let alone the mop I have on my head. I bought 3 tubes thinking that all the 5-star reviews can't be wrong. They are! Its crap! Get something else.

made my hair dry , the smell is really overpowering and it did'nt really work as well as i wanted it to but overall it was ok

Ho acquistato il gel convinto della sua forte tenuta,ma che in realtà tale non è… La consistenza è molto gelatinosa e al contatto con le mani si trasforma praticamente in acqua. Bisogna metterne molto per avere un briciolo di tenuta sui capelli, Ma questo rende il risultato finale appesantito per la quantità di prodotto. L’effetto risulta bagnato quindi, ma bisogna asciugarli col phon per poterli modellare un po’.. Non consiglio quindi questo gel a chi cerca una tenuta forte e con poco prodotto
