It’s inexpensive for a couple reasons.
I was drawn to this blower for the price and “flex mount”. Well, had a couple let downs, but was still able to get them installed, just not exactly how I had hoped.First warning was that the wiring coming out of the fan motor is not tinned copper. Its plain copper that they tinned the ends on. So, immediately this is not a “marine grade” item. I removed the wiring and installed marine wire.Next, the “flex mount” is not flexible. What you see in the picture is the only way you’re able to mount the fan. I was under the impression the mounting foot could switch to different housing screws to alter the position but nope. Finally, the 4” output is the same size as 4” tubing. You need an adapter to get the two to mate up or you can do what I did and loosen the housing screws to allow the blower exhaust hose to slide into the opening. Problem with this is the housing doesn’t want to completely close back down on the hose. I installed a worm gear clamp around the housing so I could safely tighten the housing back together. The plastic was not happy about this and I wasn’t able to get a complete seal, but it was close enough. The good news: the blower is whisper quiet and moves a good amount of air. The price is low for a reason, as most Seaflo stuff seems to be. It has a couple year warranty but who knows if they’ll come through on that.I recommend this to weekend warriors and fresh water boaters. Commercial or heavy use saltwater boats not so much. Also, these are not ignition protected blowers, so no gas engine boats!Mike from lifesaport

Overall good blower and evacuation fan - but more technical data could help.
I finally received the fan, and it looks that it matches my expectations. It is powerful and 320cfm looks realistic. I was wondering if it has brushless DC (BLDC) motor - and apparently it may have - it is advertised as "extended life motor". They give 4 year warranty. The speed can be controlled by changing the voltage between 3V and 12V, the current consumption is ~1.2A at 3V, 4A at 6V and 8A at 12V, which makes it handy for ventilation with variable airflow. It is plastic and rust free. Interestingly, closing the outlet vent decreases current consumption by up to half. From the specs it looks that the fans are available in 12V (SFBB1-320) and 24V (SFBB2-320), the latter would be better for non-marine applications (I wanted to use it remove moisture from garage). If it could run on 115V - that would be best for my application. The noise level is acceptable, but it is not super quiet and the motor noise is radiated by plastic case, so not recommended for bedroom, even when running at lowest speed.I am not giving it 5 stars because of the lack of satisfactory technical details on the fan - on the Amazon site or even in the datasheet.

Poor Quality 75% Rejection Rate.
I purchased one of these blowers for an exhaust system I designed and it did the job, no complaints. Then I bought a 2nd one and the blower cage was out of round causing it to vibrated awfully. I sent it back and ordered a 3rd one. It was about the same as the 2nd one maybe marginally better. This time I held onto the 3rd one and bought a 4th one. The 4th one not only vibrated but there was a clacking noise in the motor. Since I already incorporated this blower into my design I reluctantly kept the 3rd one and sent back the 4th. This vendor apparently does not do any outgoing testing or inspections and the quality of their product is unacceptable.

Wonderful fan !
The media could not be loaded. While sweating it up at an outdoor dance not long ago I thought " enough is enough". Little pocket handheld fans are for the weak and unimaginative. I surfed through a hundred portable fans from Amazon and luckily found this boat fan to expel engine gas fumes. Pushes 320 cubic feet per minute. Testosterone machometer rising to the red ! Wired it up to a motorcycle battery with a light switch. The bolts are connected to battery ( with wires) so I don't have to pull the battery out for charging. Rope and hose are for carrying. I think I will replace switch with a variable resistor soon. I don't know what the run time is so far but was running good at 1 hour. Don't snicker, no blueprints were involved.

DEFECTIVE, Squeaking and rattling
Nice and quiet until it started to make Squeaking and rattling sound, I'm not using it 24/7 but after two weeks, it started to Squeak and rattle.A cheap $22 box fan at home depot, seem to do a better job.Beware of GK Wholesale, they didn't reply to my message until I file a claim and they didn't provide a prepaid return label for a defective product.

Great power, works fantastic as a blower
I've added a large carbon air filter to the intake and run the fan for roughly 200 hours. It' keeps going. After adding the carbon filter, it's noise level has increased some so I created a box for it. Although, it's got a good deal of power for it's size - perfect for my application as a purified air intake. Thank you!

This fan is super quiet, but the squirrel cage rotary fan blade is not aggressive enough and the veins are close together so it can get clogged very easily or matted over with dust or other obstructions. I also bought a SeaFlo SFIB1-270-02 which worked better for my application. Although very noisy, it put out more air than the 320CFM model using the good old hand over the snorkel test.

Replaced another brand blower with same flange size. This ...
Replaced another brand blower with same flange size. This blower only draws 5 amps running, about 7 amps when starting. It is quieter than the old one and moves more air. I'll replace my port blower with one of these when the old one fails.

Quality motor
Very hard to find a 12 volt motor that puts out this kind of volume. Works very well and is quiet
