Cool little nerf gun for kids
This is great for kids. It's a little hard for my 4yr old to pull back but he does ok with it. Overall, it's a cool toy.

Averages 66 FPS; style-matching looks, but meh for what it is.
My ProChrono Digital chronograph measured the speed of the darts fired by this stock Scout MK2 blaster at an average of 66 feet per second (FPS) using Nerf Elite darts (it is capable of shooting any standard Nerf Elite darts; blue, green, white, orange, purple/grey, Starwars themed, Accustrike, and decorated Rebelle darts). The standard average velocity of a Nerf Elite blaster is 70 FPS, so this reiteration of the N-strike Scout iX-3 is a little under par in terms of power. It is, of course, still much closer to Nerf Elite specifications than it’s predecessor, and it one-ups it again by holding 4 darts before a reload is necessary. This blaster was hard to get at a decent price for me since I live in Hawaii and no one wanted to ship a Walmart Exclusive here (not even Walmart), but whatever. Thanks to Amazon I was able to finally get one reasonable enough in price. This is essentially a blue Nerf Accustrike Quadrant sidearm blaster. Like it’s sister-blaster, the Quadrant, it has a bulkiness that makes holstering it difficult. Many Nerfers prefer sidearms that fit in pockets, or actual holsters that do not interfere with walking or running. As small as this secondary revolver blaster is in comparison to the oversized primary blasters, it is still considered a clunker in terms of it’s larger-than-pocket size and circular shape. This makes it even harder to carry around than even the Quadrant as a back-up weapon, which is exactly the niche it is supposed to be filling. Luckily, there is a sling-mount attachment point at the base of the pistol grip, so you can hang it on a bandolier or even a string. The aesthetic look of the Scout MK2 matches the design cues of the newer Nerf blasters on the market today, which may draw in some sales for customers who want a matching secondary blaster; the fixed under-barrel angled fore-grip (like the Elite Infinus) the vented slots in the sidewalls of the shell (which IMHO invites dirt and debris into the shell) the ribbed pistol grip, enclosed finger-guard, and the coloration are all family traits of the current generation of Nerf blasters. To operate the blaster you load 2 darts on the sides of the cylinder, rotate it once and then load the other 2 chambers. Once loaded, pull back on the orange horizontally mounted T-bar priming handle, and pull the trigger for one shot. Repeat the process for 4 shots, because that is all you got. Just 4. Not a big number for a revolver, but the design is solid and the plastic is tough enough to take quite a beating. There is one Nerf tactical rail attachment point on the top-dead-center of the blaster for an attachment like an optic or dart-holder (etc.). The ergonomics are comfortable to me, but there is something odd about the operation that is not so comfortable. This is the same awkward feeling with the Quadrant’s (vertical T-bar) priming handle since both blasters share the same internals: There are 2 clicks that you feel when pulling back on the priming handle. The first click rotates the cylinder to the next chamber, the second click denotes that the catch mechanism is engaged and the blaster is ready to fire. It is possible to pull the priming handle to just the first click to keep indexing the cylinder without actually reaching the second click (and thereby priming the blaster). In conclusion, the Scout MK2 blaster is disadvantaged by virtue of it’s shape and compatibility issues with holstering or ease of carrying around. It has comfortable ergonomics, and is durable. Yet it is not without it’s own quirks in operation and ease of reloading. It also falls short in terms of performance when compared to other sidearms, such as the Elite Disruptor blaster, which is a superior sidearm to the Scout MK2 because it holds 6 darts, has slam-fire (pulling the priming handle while holding the trigger down activates rapid fire blasting), is cheaper, and is easier to holster than this blaster. As a side note, you can take 2 T-bar priming handled blasters and hook the handles together to prime both blasters simultaneously. This works, but IMHO if you have to do this in the heat of battle, you are likely already going to be outgunned. Does it have a place in the Nerf lineup? I believe the answer is yes and no. It will come down to personal preference. Specifically, how much you like the way it’s looks matches the rest of your load-out vs how much you value ease of transportation and performance.

Cheap fun but breaks easily
Cheap worked fine for about 1/2 hour before it wouldn't cycle anymore. Kids were rough with it and it was dropped a few times and likely had the handle pulled too far back or pulled too quickly. It is a plastic toy and as such should be expected to break after a while but 1/2 hour and maybe 50 darts through it?

War on Christmas
It was Christmas morning, everyone had opened almost all the presents. I offered a neatly packaged gift to each family member and held my hands behind my back, waiting… as the wrapping paper fell I whipped out my already loaded nerf gun and unloaded it towards my brother! It was war, people scrambling for cover all while trying to free the nerf toys from their packages. It was just like we were little kids again, loved the looks on everyone’s faces as they saw the large ‘Nerf’ in orange in the packaging and not long after darts were flying! Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who wants to have some fun!

Good but pricey
Product came as described. A little pricey though. It had a tag on it that said $10.99. Yet I paid over three times that.

Genial nerf para empezar el arsenal
Me sorprendió su precisión (comparada con la disruptor y jolt, aunque el disparo es de menor potencia que la disruptor, su precisión es mucho mejor. Me gustó.Un detalle es que para colocar los dardos es un poco mas "complicado" hay que tener cuidado o podrías maltratar los dardos ya que entran en un angulo un tanto inclinado, a diferencia de la disruptor que entran completamente recto
