Airflo Fly Lines Kelly Galloup Shovelhead, WF7/8-280 Grain

As of right now,I'm just learning how to cast this line. So far casting the line is like using the Chuck and Duck cast. The weight of the head on this line makes it very difficult to false cast to get distance. When you make the back cast,the line falls behind you and then hits you in the back when making the forward cast. I had to strip line off the reel what ever distance I wanted to cast and then make a forward cast(like a roll cast) letting the head of the line shoot out pulling the stripped line with it.I think this line would work better on a Switch Rod(due to the rod length).The extra weighted head does shoot the stripped line out with no problem. I'm still at the learning stage right now.
