Bingfu Dual Band VHF UHF 136-174MHz 400-470MHz Handheld Two Way Ham Radio Magnetic Base Antenna SMA Male Antenna for Walkie Talkie Icom Yaesu Vertex Standard Horizon Marine VHF Radio

I bought this to use as an AIS receiver with an RTL-SDR radio, for testing. Popped up on the cabin top and it worked on first try. I've ordered a second radio for permanent installation on the boat, will keep this antenna for testing and as a backup for AIS and for handheld radios. As a temporary mounting, a big steel washer and I can attach it to the cloth dodger on the boat in a flash, perfect for temporary testing or as a backup antenna.

works well, very strong holding magnet,i have 6 of these and they all work well

muy pequeña, recibe señal igual que la que tenia portatil, no hubo mejoria, tampoco empeoro, pero pues tendre que comprar una mas grande... de mas alcance

Received In brand new perfect condition and packaged petty good from Amazon. Very small which is great for me. And works really great on my Uniden SDS200. Highly recommend and good build and works great. One other thing the magnet could be stronger. It come with a round double face tape for added strength for vehicle mounting. I use mine inside so no problem there.

I was skeptical at first, but I knew my scanner was not picking up half of the radio traffic, particularly on the air band, that I should given I was only a couple of kilometers from the local airport. So plugged this in and placed it in my house in the same location as I had the handheld stock antenna - and what a difference! Started getting a lot more ground traffic and further away radio communication not near the airport at all! Trying it with other bands, such as 800 and 900Mhz ranges, also saw marked improvement in reception, on my SDS100. Overall - a great antenna, and because its magnetic, you can take it with you in the car for even better reception on the road!
