Goodes AM FM Radio Portable with Best Reception

I bought this on recommendation of my exterminator to place in my attic along with some strobe lights to scare off an iguana who had taken up residence. Unfortunately the iguana liked to party and enjoyed the new music and light show. We did eventually get him out but not because of these efforts. It’s a decent little radio for an affordable price that will run on battery or ac.

For a cheap no frills radio this is great. Plugged it in and turned it on with no problems. Went to our local radio station and without using the antenna it's clear as day. I don't have it up very loud but just barely moving the volume control it gets pretty loud. So I would say it could go high.

It is good

Compact, works well for a work radio, sound is adequate, and reception if adequate. Price was good, so happy overall.

No power cord

This little one is great ! For the size, it has an awesome sound. Power by usb, or a/c with included adapter, or use batteries. Reception is impressive, picking up stations 50-100 miles away, some in Canada ! Cannot beat the value. Good emergency radio if you buy a cheap solar power pack.

This is my favorite cheap radio I've ever had and I've had a few of them. This thing is ridiculously light, you can hook it with your pinky and take it from room to room. Reception is very good, I've never even needed to extend the antenna and most importantly to me is the tuning dial is tight, meaning if you bump it or something you won't lose your station. And the volume is great. I have other radios where every time I go to use one, I have to find the station again and with no digital readout, finding a channel is sometimes a nuisance. I use this in the house, in the garage and in my workshop. Should I drop a hammer on it, no biggie, it's cheap enough to get another one or two. And it' be loud if you want

Good speaker, nice and clear sound. Also good reception. Would buy it again or give it as a gift. Very happy customer.

Smaller and boxier than I thought, even though I knew the measurements. This is a tiny unit that pumps out an enormous amount of sound, trying it for the first time I didn't even get the volume turned all the way up before I turned it down to save my ears. Given the terrific carrying handle it would be great on a picnic or beside the pool. Even the kids squealing wouldn't drown it out. Takes 4 AA batteries or mains power, Australian customers should buy a USB to Aussie plug adapter as the included adapter is for US plugs. No biggy, pick them up for <$10. Overall quality is great, radio feels solid in the hand. Power on (red) indicator and signal strength (green) indicator are icing on the cake. I'd recommend this no worries, even buy another if needed.

Tuning is very touchy

The unique size and shape allows you to set this radio in where your older model car stereo used to be before it died, saving you hundreds of dollars. It's not a car stereo, but it isn't $800+ programming fees for an older vehicle you may not own in the near future.
