Surprisingly good battery life so far. My original battery was down to 16 minutes of battery life. Minutes not hours! The new battery is currently giving above 5 hours and Dell Power Manager is showing Excellent battery health with the correct tags. Can't believe this battery was among the better value for money options on Amazon.

This battery, although not OEM, was an exact fit replacement for the original battery in my Dell XPS-13, model 9360 laptop computer. It took me about a half an hour to make the replacement. Note that there are no replacement instructions with the battery so you need to watch a YouTube video or something to understand how to do it. It's fairly straightforward and not difficult. The tools provided with the battery, miniature torx and phillips screwdrivers, do the job well. The battery appears to be a high quality unit and came charged to a bit over 70%. Instructions say to discharge the battery to 2% before then charging it fully. It may take a while for me to run it down because at 70% the laptop says it'll go for over five hours whereas with the old battery it would only have made two.

I ordered this battery for my Dell XPS13 but I want paying attention, and this one is not for the 9350 model that I have. While the battery looks the same and will fit like a glove, the computer will not recognize it as a Dell battery, and it won't charge the battery. What happens is that you will be able to use your laptop on battery power until you drain whatever charge is on the battery and then it will seem like the battery just died even though it is because the laptop isn't charging the battery. It turns out that the battery manufacture needs to program each battery for the specific model of Dell laptop so that the computer doesn't reject the battery. That is why you need to check the model even if the battery looks exactly like yours or says it is for the laptop you have. For example, I have a Dell XPS13 but there are multiple model numbers for the XPS13 depending on when it was built.

I bought this replacement battery for my Dell XPS 9360. In the past, I bought a different battery and that one failed very quickly, not powering my laptop and then swelling up. This product was a little cheaper than the other options and includes a small kit for replacing the battery (philips head, torx, 2 spudgers, and a pick), which is very convenient if you don't do this type of thing often. The battery supposedly has the same specs as the original one that comes with the XPS 13. It even comes with the same indicators what type of screws go where (which is nice). Note: I am a little suspicious with how cheap this kit was. I haven't had this battery very long so I will update my review if the battery starts to degrade or fail.

First step was to watch a couple of videos describing the steps to swap the battery. That was easy enough. Once replaced, I ran a couple of diagnostic tools from Dell, and the battery passed all tests. The laptop had a battery which failed all tests and now has a battery rated as 'excellent', a new breath of life.
