I recently added the expansion that allows for two more players to join our Catan games, increasing the fun from the regular four players to six. This addition not only applies to the original Catan game but also to the Seafarers expansion, making it even more exciting. Now we can enjoy Catan, the extension, and the Seafarers expansion with a larger group, enhancing our gameplay experience. We now have a total of four boxes: Catan, the Seafarers expansion, the Catan extension, and the Seafarers extension. With six colors to choose from—red, orange, blue, white, brown, and green—we're set for hours of fun. It’s amazing how much variety and excitement these additions bring to our game nights.

Really fun addition to the base game, our family plays it a lot. Make sure to buy the “expansion”pack (4 people) before, or with, the “extension” pack (6 people). I didn’t understand the difference and made that mistake.

Really great, loved the gameplay

I bought it for my boyfriend for Christmas and he said it was great! He had the other original expansion and needed the 5-6 player expansion and he said it was a perfect addition on to the regular expansion. Also said that it's one of the easier expansions to learn if you're looking to go beyond the base game.

I had noticed upon ordering this extension that some have had issues with the coloring and matching of the components relative to the base game and Seafarers expansion. I however had no issues with that. The pieces and board look great together. The discoloration may be due to the fact that some have ordered used copyright of the extension. An issue you might encounter is given the fact that you require both the base game of Catan, the 5-6 player extension to the base game, the Seafarers expansion and this item be prepared to have an experience getting them all to fit in the two base game boxes. Although I wouldn't really consider that an issue. It can be quite expensive for all 4 of these purchases to be able to play a 5-6 player game of Seafarers however I will note that it is well worth the money. A 6 player game is a genuine experience and i recommended it to anyone.

Love love love Catan!!! So we ordered the Seafarers edition and expansion pack. Directions on different board set ups are not always accurate. But once you realize it, it is not such a big deal. They used different pictures than our original Catan game so that is kind of confusing (ex bricks don't look like bricks!) so on the bigger boards-you have to remember there are two different pictures of ore, two different pictures of bricks,ect. I recommend watching the Utube video of how to play-easier than reading the directions! Super fun though if you are a Catan fan! Much easier to block someone who is about to win-two ways to block -the robber and ship robber! Many different board set ups too! Hint: Sheep are actually a good thing in this game! Lol so many more strategies to win involved in the Seafarer! Remember you have to have the original Catan, expansion Catan, & Seafarer edition if you are going to buy the Seafarer expansion pack! Expensive game but super fun for serious board game players! Gave four stars only because of the confusion of different pictures!
