I bought this for my cat who was severely anemic. His hematocrit was 12.2% and his hemoglobin was 4.1. They told us he needed an immediate blood transfusion but the cost was very high. Not to mention he also had a low platelet count and WBC count. We made the difficult decision to bring him home and allow him to go peacefully. However, I didn’t want to give up so I bought this supplement. After 1 month I took him back to repeat the blood work. His hematocrit was now 27.6% and his hemoglobin 8.5. Platelet and WBCs were normal. Amazing product! Easy to use & my cat had no problem eating it with his food.

This liquid iron helped my dog immensely. I got a call from the vet and they mentioned my dog was very anemic and would most likely require a blood transfusion. Even though the cost would have been ridiculous I was willing to somehow pay for what he needed. Until the vet told me they would need me to bring the donor dog as well as they would have to do the blood transfusion on the spot with the donor dog. The donor dog would have to be sedated and that’s when I knew I couldn’t ask any friends because who would want to put their dog under sedation if nothing is wrong with them, I know I wouldn’t. I was already giving my dog a liver powder to help boost red blood cell production but iron had not crossed my mind yet. I researched and came across this wonderful liquid iron and I’m not kidding you, his energy was drastically changed and improved within 3 days. I knew he was getting better so I kept giving him the dose based on his weight and waited to see the vet until his follow up appt. My dog liked the drops and even though it stated to place over his food I know iron is more absorbable on an empty stomach so I would shake the bottle well and give him his dose straight into his mouth. I appreciated The ascorbic acid with the iron drops because that really helps absorption. I never really noticed any constipation but I did give him about 1 tablespoon of pumpkin puree with his food every day to help with constipation in case he did get it. After using for about 3 weeks we have labs confirming his iron levels have improved drastically. The vet still has to run a lot of tests because we need to know the cause of the anemia but for now he is so much better and that’s all that matters.

This liquid iron product seems to work well although I have only used a quarter dose for my dog who has significant digestive issues, and I use it only several days per week. However, he seems to have more energy even on those small doses. I would only use products like this because we regularly see a vet and my dog has lab work done to support these extra measures. I did not give the product 5 stars because the eye dropper is difficult to read with its white lines (not black) to indicate ml in the dropper, so I usually count the drops onto my dog's pureed food to make sure I stay at my goal of one qtr. dose. Even the directions say to start gradually! This product is worth a try if there is evidence your dog has specific health issues related to iron.

I am so greatful to have found Taily Liquid Iron for my sweet cat Morgan. She is mostly an indoor cat & sometimes outdoors. Morgan disappeared for three days which was so unlike her. We found her after 3 days. Upon bringing her into the house she was lethargic, couldn’t stand up falling over, & sickly. We rushed her to an urgent Walk In Veterinary facility. The Vet wanted to order multiple blood tests because her gums were gray meaning anemia. I said let’s start with a CBC first & go from there. The Vet said she was very anemic from a flea infestation. The next morning after one dose of Taily I was overjoyed to find Morgan up walking a little, eating & drinking water. In three days she was back to her normal self. I gave her the Iron for two weeks. Truly a miracle. Taily Liquid Iron saved her life & I am forever thankful for this product. Shame on that Vet for suggesting Morgan be put down.
