This is a nice extra to have, but it is unfortunate that it is an add-on rather than thought up and manufactured at the same time as the tool. That is because it uses the same holes to mount as the blade itself, meaning you have to use the included (flathead screwdriver-using) hardware in lieu of the nice thumbscrews that came with my Hayate. This is unfortunate because now you need to carry the screwdriver AND the thumbscrews if you think you will want to remove this at any time - and you may want to because it makes it harder to maneuver the pole in tight spots.Otherwise, it is well made and a thoughtful idea.I assume the other screws are for the other poles it fits.

The Hook Fox can mount to a Silky pole saw in two ways: across the short axis of the pole saw (for all saws except the Hayauchi) or through the long axis (which is required for the Hayauchi). The hook itself is made of two separate, stamped, and plated sections, held together with rivets. The bolt holes that must be used when mounting the hook to the Hayauchi are formed from the two halves, and are simply pinched together by the rivets about 1/2" away from the holes (the three rivets in a row). On mine, this caused, after not what I would consider extraordinary use, the nuts to pull through the holes, spreading the two halves of the hook apart, popping those rivets nearest to the holes. This caused the holes (really two halves of holes, as I've explained) to become deformed, and I can not re-attach the hook in the intended fashion.It's a silly design flaw, and I'm sure this explains why, even though this hook is supposed to fit all of the Silky pole saws, they make a separate hook for the Hayauchi alone, which is not formed from two pieces. Unfortunately, that other hook does not have the returns on the top side, which are useful for pushing branches or rope.Silky Saws are great, but this particular design is very disappointing.

Easy to put on, wonderful for hanging saw in branches or rafters when working or putting it away. Works a treat. Learned about from Nita and Shenae at Silky Saws Australia, the most informative folks about Silky Saws on YouTube.

This physicallly attached to my silky hayauchi pole saw ok, but the chrome extends beyond the black blade mount, thus impeding the ability for the last section of pole to fully retract all the way back in and therefore does not let locking pin in the pole engage through all sections to lock all of the pole sections together when collapsed. Might be fine for other pole types.

Love this thing, the rumors that it dosent fit the zubat are kinda true. It dosent fit the way it is intended to fit but it will go on the saw. I find it super handy for setting lines and resting it on a branch while aloft

often one while in a tree needs to hang the tool or push a small branch with out cutting it this added hook is a great , it can, may and will get in the way but its a small price for many other uses while in a tree or on the ground ..

Indispensable addition. Really helps getting stuck branches down, using the hook to hold the pole saw up on a branch while resting from sawing and for hooking it on a ladder when climbing or descending. Those are the uses I had for it so far. Highly recommended.

ズバットに取り付けたけど、えらく先が重くなって扱いが...狭いところと広いところで、取り付けたり外したりと使い分けています。

枝にかけておけるのは良いです。いちいち降ろさなくてもいいので少し休憩とか楽です。

フックフォックスをハヤテに取付ける際、困惑した事が２点ありました。１．付属部品が２種類あって、どちらのボルトをハヤテに使うのか迷った。（取付説明書を最後までよく読めばボルトの短い方だと理解出来たのだが・・・）２．ハヤテの取付方法はロングボーイと同様の手順だと書いてあって、取付説明と図解が一緒に載ってたが、ハヤテのボルトを差込む方向が逆だったのには困惑した。取付方法の説明書に不備があった点に減点１です。

Installé sur une scie perche Hayauchi, ce crochet est merveilleux. Il permet de descendre la branches coincées sans abimer la lame (en tout cas, moins l'abimer). Il est très léger et très bien fixé. Un produit haut de gamme (comme tout ce que j'ai vu de Silky).

Makes working with long pole saws a breeze. Pulling down small branches, putting ropes high up into trees and hanging the pole saw onto onto a branch when not in use are all very nice features that make this hook an awesome addition to any pole saw.
