How or why is this better or mire effective than just usinf peppermint essential oils?

It's not any better, just more expensive. You can easily make your own using peppermint oil, I also add a bit of spearmint. Just add water, an emulsifier, and the oils you like shake and spray. This product smells great, but didn't work at repelling any spiders, bugs, or mice.

how many ounces of peppermint oil are actually in this product?

If the label in the photo is correct, it’s a 4% peppermint oil solution that’s 16 fluid ounces total volume. That works out to (.04 x 16 = ) .64 fluid ounces of peppermint oil.

What are the ingredients?

Active Ingredients: Pure Origin Peppermint Oil Other Ingredients: Water, Non-Toxic Emulsifiers

Would this product be effect in cold weather?

I found that I needed it most in cold weather! It did a great job keeping bugs away.
