GAOY Red Cat Eye Gel Nail Polish, 16ml Glitter Holographic Nail Polish with Magnet, Reflective Translucent UV Gel, 2907 Ruby Twilight

I bought the ruby twilight color and while it's a very nice color, it doesn't look anything like the pictures. The pictures show a ruby base with a bright chili red shift. What I received was an oxblood base with a ruby shift. It's far more of a vampy dark red fall color than the more vibrant summery red in the pics. I'm keeping it because I'm not remotely opposed to vampy aesthetics, but it does lose a star for just not being what it was advertised to be. The brush is also way too big and I'd recommend starting on your thumb nail or wiping the excess off onto some paper. It has very good coverage and only needed 2 coats. I used it with a base coat of opaque red, but probably didn't need to. The cat's eye is a big hard to get the hang of for the first time and I didn't notice any instructions in the box, but what helped me was to try out several samples on a piece of paper first and see how the magnet interacted with the pigments. I expected them to be attracting the glitter, but the magnets actually repel it. So, if you want the sparkles all concentrated in the middle of the nail, you should put the magnet at the outside edges of your nail on each side and sort of push the sparkles towards the middle with the magnetic field instead of doing it the way I would have expected it to work which is to hold the magnet over the middle. It pushes the sparkles, it doesn't pull them! If you're doing 2 layers, do the opposite magnet movements for the layers. So if you want them in the middle, push them to the edges for the bottom layer and then push them to the middle for the top layer. I don't know why this made the effect so much better, but that was the one method I tested that looked the best and gave that classic opalescent shine. Overall, it's a good product, but the pictures don't match it.

Ruby twighlight. Beautiful color with good magnetic properties. However, it does not dry completely with uv/led light and it only lasts about a week before starting to chip. If you have a super steady hand to get past the narrow opening on the bottle and aren't looking for a long lasting manicure, the color is fantastic.

OBSESSED!!! I ordered Ruby Twilight and thought it would be too bright but it's exactly what I was looking for for a dark Halloween red 😍 This is 2 coats in direct sunlight so it does look bright but inside its a very dark base with a true red shine

I’m just going to say that I couldn’t have anticipated a better cat eye polish. The color shift is so bright and smooth, the application was simple and the payoff is just insane. Shine your flashlight on your hand and take a look when you’re done!

This red cat eye gel nail polish was something different for me and I love it! It was easy to use. I didn’t leave any clumping for me like some other gel polishes normally do. I haven’t experienced any skin irritation. The consistency is pretty good and has a nice shine. It took a bit of practice with the magnet but I eventually got it. For the quality and size of the bottle size, I was greatly surprised.
