Super Chill: A Year of Living Anxiously

I have become to slowly begun to accumulate a collection of what my fiance awkwardly describes to his friends as, "Well, um...So there are these comics that people make for the internet, but then they take them from the internet and print them in to real books. So you could maybe get her something like that for her birthday?"No need to wait for my birthday, because I buy these for MYSELF. I came across this as a recommendation as I was purchasing Strange Planet, and thought, hey, its eight bucks, why not?Best eight bucks spent. I was cackling/crying/wheezing through the entire thing. I love to pick it up and just look at a few when I'm feeling down, and forcing others to read a few/a lot. The book is super easy to relate to your own awkward life and as someone who had never read any of the comics previously, each one was an awesome new surprise.Though small, I plan on making this book a coffee table book for my small coffee table and continue to force people to read its hilarious contents until hopefully another awesome book is released.

If you've followed along with Adam on any social media site - you've probably seen quite a few of his comics and know about what to expect: well drawn comics that highlight feelings that many of us can relate to. There's no real "new" topics in this book compared to the comics that have been released. With that being said, most of the comics *are* new and haven't been posted on social media before.Overall, I was pleased with the book - of the new comics there were a few that definitely made me laugh and smile. It made my morning better and there are a few I'll definitely share with friends. I also appreciated just getting to know Adam more as a person as he gives us an insight into his life and feelings through the comics.The physical quality of the book was also quite good (although ordering from Amazon you'll inevitably end up with some damage to the cover). The pages inside felt good to hold and flip through. It feels like a step up from a typical manga if you've ever ordered any (although the size is about the same as a manga volume which was a bit surprising to me).Basically - if you want to support Adam and enjoy his comics - definitely pick this book up :)

The reviews are accurate, a decent amount of these comics are already online, HOWEVER I wouldn’t let it stop you from buying it. Being able to physically flip through a large collection is enjoyable. There’s something a little more fun to me about being able to fully immerse yourself in a book that I can’t get from my phone while on social media. It’s less than $9 and fun to have on my coffee table for friends to flip through. It’s absolutely worth the money. It’s also nice to show the artist some extra optional support!

This book is so funny, and smart. I think many could find something that they could relate to themselves. Everyone has their stuff... Ps Adam is my new pretend boyfriend ✌️

Did Adam (the author) read an old misplaced journal of mine? I was trying to speed read through this just to catch every joke real quick before the reality hit, He must be my secret twin brother separated at birth. The highs and lows of this book directly relate to my life, and I cannot think of any other way besides that he secretly is wasting his time when he's not drawing by spying through my phone.Honestly, good book and was a hit as the coffee table book this year at the Christmas party.

I’ve been following Adam on Insta for abut 2 years now and saw he had a book for sale. I’m throughly happy with my purchase. This brought back the feeling as a child when I had a full in color book of Peanuts in hardcover.(would always re-read it) I will definitely be re-reading this from time to time (literally couldn’t put it down after I started). I also look forward to more comic books from him. This is honestly good enough to be a show, seriously!

So I bought this as a gift to my roomate. I was not a fan of Adam until i read this book. It has adorable illustrations and sometimes very clever jokes.His coworkers very much enjoyed combing through the book while in the employee lounge. It has been a big hit at the call center.We are going to add this to our coffee table after it retires from work, so visitors can enjoy.

Simply great. Love this, today and forever, wish there was more of it. The only thing that I found kind of "distracting" was that I didn't know if the comic bit ending in the page or it continue on the other. Maybe put everything in the same page and with the added zoom with kindle you can easily read it. Or don't. Any how it was great. 10/10

Libro muy divertido, si te gusta mucho el estilo de Adam Ellis y lo sigues en redes y cada que vez un comic de él te detienes a leerlo y a reir, te recomiendo este libro.

Such a great book. The illustrations are so colorful & funny and the quality of the paper is nice.

Las ilustraciones son sencillas pero expresivas y estéticamente muy bien logradas, me encanta su estilo. Sobre todo muy muy divertido, amo su sentido del humor.

Es uno de mis ilustradores favoritos. Y su humor es bastante bueno. Completamente en ingles. Pero no es una limitación.
