Should be NO stars, unfortunately -- it's just the right size, and had it worked, would be just what I was looking for. 2000 miles from home, plugged the cable into the socket on the back of the unit, and the socket went right through the back of the case. Tiny little screws let go and the socket went inside the case. Absolutely minimum insertion force was used. Instantly shorted out the 20 amp fuse in the car. Had no other option but to repair it -- Fixed the socket and properly insulated it from the internal heat sink that the socket shorted upon. Ran for a whole day. Plugged it in again the next day, and it blew the 20 amp fuse in the car. Should have a fuse in the cigarette lighter plug. $89 down the drain. Sure would like a refund.

Had to send back twice...plug in bag kept coming apart. Idea is great..I wished it would have worked as we take many trips. Ended up buying an electric hard cooler for back of truck that has plug in.

Like a few other reviewers, I had the same problem with the plug. The two tiny screws that hold the plug housing into the motor body/casing fell out immediately, which of course I found out on the first day of the road trip. One screw is lost somewhere in a parking lot forever and the other one I've managed to hang onto until I can get home and see what fix I can put together. Because of this, we never unplugged the cord from the bag once we had it plugged in for this trip and also why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. The bag itself worked great. We traveled for 5 days and had yogurt, cream, and cheese in the bag that stayed fresh the whole time. At night we would bring the items into the hotel to the mini fridge. Definitely keeping this for future trips!

I am incredibly frustrated. The product couldn’t arrive in time for me to get it at my house before I left for a week-long work trip in Europe, so Amazon helped me ship it to my second hotel in Europe. It arrived as-planned, but the hot/cool switch arrived broken. It thus only heats. The sole reason I bought this expensive product and had it shipped across the world was because it was my ONLY way to keep my breast milk cold while traveling in Europe, where refrigeration is unreliable. I’m almost in tears, as it’s now too late to get a replacement to me in time, and I have no other options. I’ve already tried using my eyeglasses screwdriver to see if I could open it up and fix the switch myself. So frustrating, particularly since you can’t just replace spoiled breast milk.

I like this little bag, I load it with water. It is nice being able to have cold water on the road without the need to stop somewhere. I do think there is a design flaw, as I also had a problem where the socket for the power plug broke. I do not understand for the life of me why did they not put the plug anywhere else. It could have been very easily done. I was able to repair mine with crazy glue to fix the holes that were broken from the screws being ripped out from them. This is because the unit may take bumps. I also used some longer screws and nuts, and the problem was solved. I would hope that in the future they rethink this design because it is bound to happen to people that purchase this item. Put the plug anywhere else but the back where it can be pushed in and broken, or put the socket at an angle like the TV manufacturers do. Other then that issue, the unit works great. Very happy otherwise. I would do 5 stars if not for that socket that breaks.
