for a $15 toy, it's surprisingly good! but not any more.

I've tried all this time to make it work ... It won't work !!!! Too much money for nothing !!!

Pros:- Cheap- Looks cool to kids- Soft overmold on grip is pleasant to handleCons:- Very little directional discrimination for sound pick up (hears everything behind the dish near equally- 9V battery bay doesn't tell you which way the battery goes, need to guess- Volume knob does very little, but is loudest when turned the opposite direction as the volume arrow- Headphones are very cheap and fit awkwardly (particularly if you are spoiled by nice headphones)

When I was younger I had a spy kit from goodwill and it makes this one seem like an actual toy.. the one I had was a toy and you could hear people across the street in their home.. With this one I can barely hear through a particle board door.. I had a hard time hearing people at the on the other side of some bushes.. so I consider this an actual toy and I'm going to request a refund

I bought one of these for my son years ago and was impressed by how well it worked, that was before my hearing dimmed. I bought one recently and not much of an effect for me, but my wife says she can hear really loud with it, her hearing is sound, she seems to be able to hear my every thought.

Crazy this thing picks up the slightest whisper from 15 yards away. It's cool and I recommend for the price.

Range and clarity not as described when used in my home I was better off turning product off and just you my ears without it ..more of a toy than anything...not happy
