The Dog in Photography / Der Hund In Der Fotografie / Le Chien Dans La Photographie: 1839-today

With duplicate text in English and German, it's a useful book for studying the history of photographing dogs. I would have liked larger photos but it's still a good reference and a quality book.

I liked the idea of this book, but flipping through it upon receipt, it was a disappointment. The tiny size does not at all do justice to the photographs - really not sure why they elected to present it in that format. The graininess of many of the pictures combined with the "pocket" size left me totally underwhelmed. I wanted to see and feel this book before I ordered additional copies for Christmas gifts for my friends, but sadly, not going to happen. Sorry, I wanted to like it...

What a splendid and engrossing collection of such warm, sweet and beautiful canine photos. Gave many of these books as gifts and every person flipped over them.

Cool book but a lot of the writing inside is in German which I thought was interesting? Some explanations were in German and only a few in English..

Excelente edição, com magnífico apanhado de fotos caninas desde meados do século XIX, até os dias atuais.

Das Buch war ein Geschenk und ist sehr gut angekommen. Sehr umfangreich und gut beschrieben, Informativ und auch nur als reiner Lesespass sehr gut zu gebrauchen. Mithin eines der schönsten Hundebücher zu einem Superpreis. Ist jedem Hundeliebhaber zu Empfehlen.
