Good quality Vitamin E for cosmetic formulations.
I like to use different oils in my formulations, and I often include tocopherol acetate for its skin conditioning benefits. I had been meaning to order more and thought I'd try this one from MYOC. This is odorless, a light straw color, very thick, and quite sticky too. This is a screw top rather than a flip cap, and there is a plastic stopper to prevent leaking. On its own, the aesthetics aren’t great because it drags on the skin and doesn’t spread well. The usage rate for this is fairly low at 0.10-1.0%, and I’ve found that when I’ve gone higher, I can actually get some cloudiness with clear oils, so I stick to 1.0% or lower. At recommended levels, it blends with other types of oils and esters well. I am experimenting with facial oil formulations, and when I make oil blends, I like to add both types of vitamin E. I use tocopherol acetate for its skin conditioning benefits and antioxidant activity on the skin. When I want to help protect my oils from oxidation, however, I use tocopherol (mixed tocopherols) instead, as the two forms serve different purposes. For the oil blend in my photo, I used this at 1.0%, and I had no issues with clarity. The golden hue is due to the other oils I used, and this blended in seamlessly. This is a good quality tocopherol acetate that works well in my cosmetic formulations. Just remember that if you're specifically looking for the form of vitamin E used to help protect oils from oxidation, you'll want tocopherol (mixed tocopherols) instead.

Great for making your own liquid soap!
This cosmetic grade vitamin E in liquid form is really great and such a versatile ingredient to have around! It is perfect for adding to lotions or soaps and I personally love using it in my own homemade liquid soap. It helps add a really nice skin healthy quality to whatever you put it in and I personally find it really helps keep skin hydrated which is a great bonus. It is unscented as well which is a really great quality for anyone who wants to add their own scents without any clashing. Being cosmetic grade means it has actually been put through proper quality checks which is really reassuring and worth paying a little extra for. Overall a really great and versatile ingredient that is easy to recommend for anyone who loves making their own soaps or lotions!

Good quality (and different than mixed tocopherols)
As someone who makes skincare products, I appreciate that this is clearly labeled as tocopherol acetate, which is an oil-soluble form of vitamin E commonly used in creams, lotions, serums, and other DIY formulations. One thing worth mentioning is that this is not mixed tocopherols, so it naturally has a different appearance. Some reviewers seem surprised that it's almost completely clear, but that's actually typical for tocopherol acetate. If you're used to the darker amber color of mixed tocopherols, don't assume anything is wrong with the product, as these are different ingredients with different properties. The bottle arrived with a secure inner seal, and the liquid was clear, clean, and free of sediment, with very little odor. One minor complaint is that the barcode sticker covers much of the information on the back label, making it difficult to read the usage recommendations and other details without removing the sticker. Overall, this appears to be a quality cosmetic ingredient for DIY formulators. The packaging was good, the product arrived in excellent condition, and it seems well suited for oil-based and emulsified skincare recipes.
